Protects My Hydroponics System!
I use these on the nutrient solution return lines that drain into my nutrient solution tanks in my greenhouse. I couldn't have more filters but the added improvement i get from using these is more than significant. The draw string makes them fairly easy to use (the material is rather stiff and the opening is much larger than my tubing.) as I tighten them around the 3/4" vinyl and 1/2" PVC tubing I use for return lines. I no longer battle continually with clogged emitters. After a couple of months on the job I toss them. It is amazing how well these bags work for me considering that they are not made for this use. Talk about bang for the buck. I could go on and on but I think that you get that I'm happy with them. Now Aquatic Expert people, just one thing. How 'bout a size that is easier to fasten around the tubing? Same size and style, just a smaller draw string opening. What, do I have to think of everything?

Easy to clean, captures very fine particles.
I'm using this with a 500 gal pond and it was able to capture very fine particles from the pump, and it was very easy to clean, just spray with hose and rinse away the dirt.

Great filter!
I switched from foam filters to these in my 50 gallon bait tank. Wouldn’t go back if you paid me! Much easier and the water is just as clean. A little more troublesome to clean just BC you have to flip them inside out but I doubt buy filters for their easiness to clean and They do their job very well.

Cool Alternative for a sump
I don't have a sump however these work great for my "bottom feeder" tank which houses two plecos, one fat algae eater, and two cory catfish, and alot of poo. Luckily the the poo sits on top of the sand but I still have to take out way too much water to clean them out. I make my own home made cut to fit pvc pipe, stick the sock in the pipe, put the pvc pipe and sock in a bucket, clip it to a bucket with a binder clip or something (whatever works), and allow the water that's being vacuumed to filter through the sock. Otherwise they'd be losing too much of their environment that they're used to because the are just filthy fish...Bless them I love them to pieces and obviously will do anything for them so I was very excited about noticing these socks. They're awesome, sturdy, and washable. Can't beat that. Again I don't use a sump so this is an alternative review for them! Hope this helps!

Love my Filter Bags!
I've used these socks for years and they have made a tremendous difference in the clarity of my reef water. I utilize a deep sand bed, so there aren't a lot of filters in my system. We made a frame out of a PVC concrete cylinder mold that we made huge holes in all over. It fits inside the sock and keeps it sitting upright, tilting it some to make it easier to see in the sump to check when it needs changed. Having 2 of them works perfectly so I always have one in the system while the other is being cleaned. I clean mine by inverting it, tossing it in the washer with 1/2 cup of bleach (no detergent) and running it through a complete wash cycle, then allowing it to air dry.
