No, it doesnt move or slip when kneading or rolling out dough. I store it rolled, so there are no creases as well. I reallylikeit!

Q: Does this stick to the counter itself

Not necessarily 'sticks', but it does stay put and in place

Q: Do the markings wear off over time? Or are they part of the silicone?

I have only used it about 10 times and the markings have not come off. This silicone mat is well made and one of the best mat I have had. It is kept rolled up in my bakery drawer , but unfold and lays flat nicely. Very sturdy and does not move while I'm rolling my dough.
