Lab Stirrer SH-2 Magnetic Stirrer Laboratory Heating Stirring Mixer Heating Plate Hotplate with Magnetic stir bar

Worked great for what I intended to use it for which was to perform small lab exercises and beginner to light intermediate high school chemistry level experiments with my 11 and 13 y/o cousins. I sifted through what seemed like thousands of what began to seem like and in all likelihood probably are identical hit plates/magnetic stirrers and finally settled on this one based on a hunch that it could achieve the perfect balance of quality vs. affordability and I have to say that I’m pleased in that regard. I would say if you’re on the fence and can’t seem to choose between the seemingly endless, identical options on Amazon you could definitely do worse than this unless of course you need it for some professional application, and even then it has held up surprisingly well and Id venture to say that it could perform in a professional lab setting to some degree.

Product is great

This hot plate would only reach 92°C maximum heating 1000ml water using 1000ml and 2000ml borosilicate glass containers at amient room temperature. That's not even boiling, and inadequate for most scientific purposes. Returning today.

Works great for projects and calibrating your thermometer

stirs water OK as long as you get it in the right spot, anything thicker not so much

Didn’t really get hot enough. Couldn’t even boil the water I was trying to evaporate

The media could not be loaded. greaT product actually, it may not look faNcy but it works well, it does need to be used with thinner lab glass to work fast though

The first product was faulty.... I contacted Amazon and went thru the return process.... PIECE OF CAKE! The seller had a new one shipped the same day and I recieved it within 24 Hours and was able to use it immediatly...It was a work horse from the start.I would certainly buy this product again from this same store!!!!!
