An excellent introduction to a topic that forms one of humankind's deepest preoccupations.

I bought this book for a uni class and kept it because it was inspiring and comforting. I truly think every person can benefit from reading about how cultures and religions around the world cope with death of loved ones in different ways!

Good read. Read this book while taking the Death and Afterlife class in Carleton University. I did not expect the lessons from the book and the class was so life changing for me. Speaking only for myself through the book and the class my perception of life and death has changed me for the better.
