What is really going on?

These batteries were total failure
I've had good luck with these batteries in Hero 4 But these were a total fail. When I first got them I tried them out and they booted my Hero 8 up fine with that warning. I went out today for a ride on my bike after having them a few weeks and they wouldn't boot the camera up..Even after getting home and checking the charge, they would not work in the camera. I missed the return merchandise date by 1 day.. Stick with the manufactures products from now on.Update: Things have changed for some reason. They are working now. I changed it to 4 stars. -1 star for not working when I needed them. But now they seem to be powering up the hero 8 with no problem

Good Extra Battery
I got this so I have an extra battery for my GoPro 8. Now I can film for most of the day without worrying about my battery dying!

Broken. Did not charge.
The battery arrived uncharged, and would not charged. Dead product.

Dies quickly
This battery would die alarmingly quickly. Compared to the official battery we ended up getting, this one has anywhere from half to one third the runtime. We used it to 0% once and now it won't take a charge.

Get What You Pay For
Pretty good! Works with my GoPro Hero 8 fine, just doesn't last as long as the GoPro battery. But it performs fine :)

Works good, battery life is significantly less than the official GoPro battery.
You can expect maybe 30-45 minutes of shooting, depending on the selected video quality. Other than that it’s a great battery for the money but you will need more than 1 for extensive use.

Not a very good replacement for the real thing.
I had thought all batteries were interchangeable, but I was wrong. While this battery fits in my GoPro- it doesn’t last as long as an original GoPro battery, and it tends to swell when charged changing the fit in the unit. Buy the real thing !
