Puffcuff Necessity!
In spite of the fact that I have a ton of hair and primarily use the largest Puffcuffs available, I magically lose them frequently. I misplace things all of the time and I needed a centralized place to keep these so that I always know where they are because I know where to put them when not in use because they now have a home. Lol! I used to think that the idea of having a house for my Puffcuffs was silly when I first saw this advertised a few years ago. Then on a wash day when I could not find an available puff cuff and my black one broke, I knew that this was something that I needed in my arsenal. Not having a Puffcuff readily available on wash day constitutes as an emergency! It's very sturdy and it's very cute and it fits a ton of these suckers inside. Now I will not lose them anymore. Enough said.

Great for short hair
I have 2c / 3a hair that is about chin length when styled curly. While I love my short hair, I do miss being able to wear it up. This lets me wear my hair up and it is incredibly easy to use. The first time I tried it, I had my hair up and looking cute in less than 2 minutes. I decided to give this style a try for a full day recently to see if it would last, and it stayed looking great for over 12 hours. The best part was that when I took it out, my curls still looked great, so I didn't have to wash / restyle my hair after using it. I used the instructions to figure out what size I needed and it turned out the 3" was perfect. I think there are probably a number of ways to use this but I think it looks best very high up on my head. I am planning to get some of the smaller ones to try multiple on my head at once. While this is made of plastic and a bit pricey, I think it will hold up well, and the ease of use definitely makes it a good buy!

It Works But There is a Cost
I do use the PuffCuff almost daily. I've been using it for the last four years. Though there is no pull, the center of my hair, though used to be the longer part of my hair, is now the absolute shortest. So somehow, the PuffCuff "chokes" off the center of my hair (I use it to wear one big afro puff on top). They do break, so I go through about three per year. I have tried a different type of hair clip, but it pulled. What I am doing now it removing the PuffCuff once I get home and am in for the rest of the night because I was wearing it 24/7. So I will see if this allows the center of my hair to "breath" and grow. I would recommend using it, but not to the extent I use it. I have natural black hair, so it really makes combing and styling my hair fast and convenient since my daily schedule is overwhelmingly busy.

Sending this back A.S.A.P!!!!!
So I received my product yesterday. I was VERY excited to get it! I tried to use it several times and for some reason it did not work for me. I posted a comment on the Facebook Page of PuffCuff. It was not negative at all but apparently it was not the "GOOD" review that she wanted. I posted that I had just received my puffCuff but it was not working for me at all and maybe that I was doing something wrong. The next day my comment had been deleted. So instead of her reaching out to me to offer suggestions or to see why it wasn't working she just dismissed it all together. What kind of customer service is that? I even sent her private message after I noticed that it was deleted and there was NO response. She's making all these posts on her page how she wants people to provide feedback etc but really what she means is she only wants positive feedback. I am sending this product back mostly on the sucky customer service. If someone would have at least reached out to me I would have been happy to give it another try. I value good customer service and unfortunately a lot of business's lack it these days especially a lot of black businesses and I try to support small black business's as much as possible but the attitudes, lack of professionalism and customer service usually sucks! I would not suggest purchasing this item unless you are fine w/ giving your money to a business that does not really care about its customers!! I will keep MY hard earned money!!! UPDATE: The owner did end up replying to my message and this is what she said: "I'm trying to launch a new product and would like public post to be as positive as possible" So there you have it. If she is filtering her reviews based on POSITIVE only then she is being dishonest. I like to read both positive AND Negative reviews when purchasing products. Be weary of companies that only show positive reviews. They are possibly filtering all the bad ones out. That is NOT good a good business practice. At least this is one honest review that she can't delete. UPDATE 3/9/14: I decided to post part of my reply that I gave to another person so that people can see my actual review on the product. One of the things stated that this product would not do was pull at your hair. My hair got tangled in this thing every single time I tried it. It reminded me of those old school banana clips and those always got tangled in my hair. This is no different, its just round. This size was way too big and bulky and when I got it on to how I thought I may like it, it was just too tight and pulling at my edges. When I put it on loser, it was worst. So yes most of this review was about her customer service because I feel that is just as important too, but the product was certainly not worth the money either, it DOES pull hair and get tangled in the teeth and it was no different than a lot of other products like this that don't work. I have since found something that actually works and my puffs are amazing! The cost is a lot cheaper and it doesn't tangle or pull my hair. Hope this helps.

Disappointed!!!
Edited 2/12/25 leaving my original review below because I still have the Cantù clips and have no issues with them, while this broke in two when taking it out of my hair today. It’s not even been 6 months. The Cantù clips I’ve had for well over a year or more. Extremely disappointing!!! Original review below. I bought the Cantù version at Target and was very pleased. Sadly it only. Same in one size and I really needed options. I was hesitant to purchase because or the higher cost and I had to pay additional shipping. But I finally bought because I really needed a 3” clip. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love these. They are not plastic and are very sturdy. The teeth are great and hold my hair well without being too tight or binding. And the really great part, I use these all the time now. Because of the construction, doesn’t matter if my hair is wet or really dry and big, these grip and hold. The Cantù clip didn’t do that. It could never hold my hair when it was really dry and big. Pay for these, you will not be disappointed!

Good hair clamp holds my curly hair in place without damaging your hair strands just as long you place hair out of the way of the clips joining together.

Works well to hold puffcuff clips. It’s quite bulky so may not be great for travel.

This size is just right for me as I do not have very thick or dense hair even though my hair is kinky curly

Medium sized. Effective for Afro hair - no snagging, tangles or pulling out hair.

Price sensitive but worth it. 2nd purchase as my thick growing 4 a/b hair finally broke it but I used it regularly for about 2 years so far enough. For that high or low puff it’s perfect
