Brass Winterize Blowout Adapter with 1/4 Inch Male Quick Connecting to 3/4" Male or Female GHT Thread Female Garden Hose Threading, Winterize Adapter with Ball Valve

This pair of winterization nozzles were purchased so I could blow out my sprinkler system using my own air compressor. These are a durable and quality product made of brass. I particularly like having the ball valve built in with the ability to unscrew and remove the handle. When blowing out my sprinkler system, the air compressor from harbor freight is not large enough with enough cfm to blow out all my lines so I can simply close the valve. This setup allows me to let the compressor recharge then open the valve and continue the operation. I previously had an adapter without the valve and this does the job much better. The pair comes with both female and male House adapter and the npt nozzles can be unscrewed also to change tips. The pair comes in a black velvet bag that I will reuse for goofing other items and store these brass nozzles with my air tools fittings.

I bought these to blow out my water lines in a house and in the yard. They work fine. However, the joints are a little small and I needed to take them apart (simple unscrew) and put Teflon tape on the threads to get them air tight. I like them a lot now that I have fixed the leak.

These work great for blowing out water lines. I have city water and well water both. I use the well for my garden and winterize it in the fall - after having the pipe freeze and crack a couple years ago. These were perfect for evacuating most of the water from the spigot on the side of the house to the spigot at the wellhead.

The adapter was easy to use and worked well. I only used the male end adapter so far but it worked well while blowing out the water from my hose in the front yard. I was able to close the valve while allowing my 12 gallon compressor to catch up. I then opened the valve and finished the job!

Might want to add some teflon tape, but these worked well for winterizing hoses and a buried water line. Nice large surfaces to get a wrench on for tightening and the brass is hard enough not to deform when tightening. The red grip material is loose on the valve handle, but probably will last a decade or so with planned infrequent use. Like having both male and female adapters to tackle hoses.

Worked for winterizing my sprinkler/drip system. Also worked for removing the water from my hoses prior to winter storage.Each of the units have two theaded joints that I sealed with Teflon tape. Tape was not included.

Purchased to do my on blow out of irrigation zones. Plenty of Youtube videos to help you get this done. save me some $ this time around. Hooked right up on my air compressor and cleared water out of the zones.

Both of mine in this set cracked. I added a little thread tape and both cracked in the same place on the piece with the valve. Now I am stuck looking for another one.
