I was a little sceptical when ordering, as I read several reviews, which were far from flattering. But having decided to 'take the plunge', I was delighted with it. There was one or two reviews stating it was 'see-through' which having tried it on, I didn't think so (I'm 73, so a transparent garment was to be avoided at all cost!!). Perhaps not quite the quality it depicted, but hey ho, I am delighted and can't wait to get out there and display me new purchase. Heavy necklace (perhaps beads) and bangles and I'll be raring to go.

My mistake by getting the wrong size but I liked it so much I have ordered another one-bigger this time. I have washed this one in a machine and it came out great, no shrinkage and it dried so quickly. Really a lovely style that you could wear on the beach or in the house. Its not high end but for the money it is great and the material is not at all bad.

I ordered xxxxl which is UK 20. It fits perfectly. The material is a cottony, linen mix. It's a soft texture and not see through. The garment is well tailored and hangs beautifully, hiding my old, lumpy anatomy.It's good enough for a summer evening out, not just for home lounging. I definitely recommend this dress, and it's very good value for money! I've even ordered another one in red.

I use this kaftan for roaming around the house in the morning - generally over something else like pyjamas or leggings and a close-fitting cotton jumper. It's also great for after-shower use. It is a tad large but that really doesn't matter as it means you can wear other garments underneath. Love it. Am looking for one or two more to keep draughts out over the winter.

I have been wearing for the past two weeks, not 24/7 anyway after a couple of washes the back seam has frayed, tried sewing it, but just frayed again ... not impressed .... not at all, having difficulty getting a refund from these people, hope to do so through Amazon's A - Z refund scheme. They keep asking for pictures, I am in my mid sixties, no camera, nor cell phone AND I do not spend my time spamming for refunds

I have 3 of these dresses now. A reasonable price and obviously I like them and the pocket on the front is useful when you're a mum and end up carrying stuff round. Will still be wearing them in winter over leggings and long sleeves T's. I'm an aging hippy in my 40's so they are comfortable and suit me well. So far they have washed OK and they are easy to iron, which is another plus. Nothing unravelling so the stiching is fairly good.

So comfortable, this is the second 1 I have bought. Went up a size due to the heat and to have plenty of room in the arms.Very nice colours, and they wash well.Not sure about the retro or vintage claim....still they are very nice.
