A truly twisted dark tale of love !!
"Twist Me" Series written by the amazingly talented author 'Anna Zaires' consists of these three books :-1. Twist Me2. Keep Me3. Hold MeThis first book "Twist Me", in the trilogy has an - intense, dark and twisted, tale of romance, passion and love. This whole series consists of the story of one couple - Julian and Nora. Their love story was raw, enthralling, gripping, provoking, emotional and truly twisted !! I loved reading every bit of their story.Having read a few dark romances in my time, I found this book to be truly memorable, and it's nothing like I have ever read before. But this book is just not for you, if you are a straight shooter. So, please proceed with caution, and pick this book up, only after you have read the trigger warnings by the author !!I like reading stories with a kidnapping trope, and this story was truly an exceptional one, with this particular trope. I have to say, the way the author has realistically described, the captor's and captive's, raw emotions and thoughts, throughout the story, with so much clarity and understanding, is truly amazing !! No other author I have read till date, has truly achieved that. The author has somehow managed to make the intense darkness in this story, seem beautiful !! Reading this book was an experience in itself, and it left a huge impact on me. This is the first book I have read by the author Anna Zaires, and I am definitely going to read more.In conclusion, Julian and Nora's intensely DARK love story was, bold, thrilling, shocking, exciting and incredibly stimulating !! If you are a dark romance lover, then you have to read this book and trilogy. It's definitely a 'must read' !! ❤

Wonderful
Yeah so I know kidnapping is wrong and mainly non consensual love making is wrong. But what can I do I loved the book. Julian was the perfect badboy you can ever hope. Even though it was bit cliché, the Stockholm stuff but hell yeah I loved the story

Don't understand the reviews
I don't understand how this book can gave so many glowing reviews. The only thing going for it is that it's quite well written. Shame about the content. I'm no prude but this book is about rape, not bdsm or erotica: rape. You can't have a character repeatedly crying at each sexual encounter, to be in pain, to dislike her protagonist intensely and it be anything else. There's no story. It's simply rape after rape and frankly this book enraged me. I don't see how anyone can find such abuse erotic. if you're expecting titillation and a horny read forget it. You'll end up squirming.Vile book, vile subject matter.

Love and hate it. (Contains rape)
Having read many dark mafia romances, I have seen several cases of dubious consent. This is not the case in this book. He rapes her. It is 100% not consensual. He takes her from her room which he has imprisoned her in, she tries to escape, she fights him, he takes her to bed, she shuts off and let's it happen. This happens a few more times before she is "willingly" going to bed with him and truly enjoying the pleasure. She suffers from Stockholm syndrome clearly, and becomes a willing captive for him. Many times this book infuriated me. Yet at the same time there is something I enjoyed about it. Hearing his back story helps make his actions make more sense, however it doesn't excuse them. But he isn't entirely heartless and I think that's where I end up liking it. He clearly cares for her, and he is capable of being gentle and not just rough and domineering.I would like to see her be given more choices though. I want to see him concede more to her, give her free will.Having read many dark books, I can read past the rape (just) in order to enjoy the story. If you cannot, I wouldn't recommend this book.

Glorifies rape
This book glorifies rape and sexual slavery. The 'heroine' is a simpering wimp who worries about her potential bf more than she does her parents. The antihero is a serial rapist, plain and simple and his housekeeper aids and abets him, normalising his behaviour. I found this book very disturbing. The whole premise of the book glorifies the sex trade. The plot, such as it was, was gory and disturbing. Apparently, Zaires wrote mote books in the same vein, and 2 followups featuring said antihero and simpering wimp antiheroine. I'll pass on reading them. I thought 50 Shades was glorifed domesric violence, this book is even worse

Despite the authors name - this clearly has been written by a man!
Ridiculously rushed first few chapters, fancies a boy she knows who she goes on a date with ONCE and then is suddenly abducted by a man who's seen her TWICE, quickly has sex with her abductor, apparently orgasms every few seconds (totally unrealistic sex). The whole thing is just..... rushed and unrealistic. If I had been abducted I certainly would not be behaving like this main character does. And no woman orgasms the way this woman does, especially when apparently being raped. Disappointing read.
