Primo Grill Thermometer and Bezel Combo for Primo Ceramic Grills - Now 200% Larger and Ability to Calibrate

So much easier to read than original primo thermometer. Old one was not accurate at all. This one measured boiling water at exactly 212 degrees. Had to drill larger hole but if you have ever used a drill this turned out to be no big deal. Primo has video on YouTube to show how to drill larger hole.

I have an older classic Primo Kamado round grill. The original hole for this thermometer was not large enough, I had to drill it bigger with a masonry bit - not difficult to do, but it did not fit out of the box. Also, the thermometer does not sit flush on the curved dome lid. The thermometer is flat but the lid is not. See picture taken from side. It does look fine from the front. Afterward, very happy with it.

Love it!! Makes reading the temps so much easier!! My ribs have turned out better since installing. I agree, Primo should come with these from the factory. Easy install, the only thing you have to watch is the prob is longer and can stick in your meat...great product!!

Item description is very misleading!!!! This thermometer is not NOW 200% larger and NOW able to be calibrated. It is the same thermometer that came on my Primo XL400 in 2005. I bought it thinking that it was somehow a NEW product. It is only larger if you have a round Primo Kamado. I feel pretty sure that anyone with an oval already has this thermometer.

Great purchase and this new version is MASSIVELY bigger than the original Primo version. I shopped around but this was the best deal for the price and I'm happy with my purchase.

So glad I decided to buy this, my original thermometer was shot, had tried recalibrating it a few times but it never seemed to work right.Yes I had to enlarge the hole to get this to fit, it took all of about a minute to do. Using the original hole I first enlarged it with a 5/16"th bit and then went to the 3/8"ths. It took longer to change the bits than it did to finish drilling the hole.
