I love all things Derwent!! I love these paint pens!! They write in a perfect thin line...NO BURPING!! I have had so many of these kind of pens leave puddles all over the place...not these!! Cool colors...cool pens!! Highly recommend!!

I would rate these as the same performance as the maker craft kind. Will clog and splash ink but it’s kinda to be expected with these. Colors were vibrant and good for abstract illustrations

Colors were ok but when the ink dries up and it’s time to push down on it for mor more ink flow it either feeds no ink or a mess. I tried pushing extra slow, 2-3 pumps, no matter what it was nothing or wasted ink. Colors are nice but it must be a model defect because THE INK DISPENSED PROPERLY AT THE BEGINNING (through the nib), BUT THEN AFTER THE FIRST TIME IT DISPERSED INK FROM THE ACTUAL BARREL OF THE PEN. The ink isn’t even coming out of the Nib on pumps. Who knows why. I don’t.

The media could not be loaded.  Not only are these the worst pens ever beacause they drip paint everywhere and it is not just one color, there are maybe two colors that dont drip. Derwent has to know how poor these are and they have done nothing to help me after biying 3 different sets of these. Which is no problem because I've always loved Derwent but not the case on this one. booo booooI love Derwent and have many products I love. I want to love these so bad but the pens have failed during a few projects and leaked paint enough to scratch a pair of shoes and another canvas I was working on. Two tones it was the white pen and once the blue pen.These pens have do many amazing qualities about them but when they fail they fail big. I reached out yo Derwin about this after the second time and still no response. If they can improve the design this will be the best paint pen out there. But for now bewareBeware update! These pens continue to cause havock and destroy things for me. Derwent has not reached out at all, pretty much Losing my business for good

I wanted to like these pens, but the white one does not work. Other colors were fine on white and black papers.

Nice colors...but soon after using for the first time paint just started dripping out.

When I got the package from Amazon, it was shipped in a bubble envelope. The Derwent box was crushed. I taped it back together. The pens inside the box are individually shrink-wrapped. When I removed the wrapping from the yellow pen, the paint started oozing out. There is a crack down the entire length of the barrel. I wiped of the paint off and quickly taped it with cellophane tape. I hope it holds because I was waiting for the pens to arrive so I could finish a painting. So, since I've used the pens, I will not be returning them for a refund or replacement. I have reported the damage to Amazon. Derwent is not at fault. The pens are good and are great for adding thin lines to acrylic paintings. The paint can be moved while still wet but not when dry. It behaves exactly like acrylic paint from a tube but makes lines thinner than I could achieve with a brush.

Good pens but won't be able to use them, I ordered palette #1 and got #3 instead.

Nice product which can be used in conjunction with other mediums . Particularly good with watercolour when you want to add subtle definition.

日本語の説明が無いので使い方がよく分からなかったんですが、鉄球が入ってるのでとりあえず振って撹拌してみました。未使用時はペン先は白く、インクが来てません。ペン先が押すと沈むタイプだったので、ペン先を入れてくれと言わんばかりのキャップの穴に押し込んでしばらくしたらインクが染み出て使えるようになりました。紙に描くには出てくるインク量が多めな感じ。ガラスやプラスチックにもしっかりインクが乗り、割と短時間で乾きました。（書きたい部分は予め付着してる手の脂を綺麗にふき取っておくと乗りが良いです。）色々な素材に描いてみたい人には良いかも。お名前ペンとしても良さそうですが値段が、、。

面白い画材だなとは思う。良い点はロットリングのように太く一定の線が引けること。ただし線の最後はインクが少し多めに出るのと色によって出やすい出にくいという個体差があるのが難点か。それと青、赤、橙色に比べて緑と黄色はかなり色味が薄い。しかも緑は何故かミントグリーンのような乳白色。また特徴としてペンを斜めに傾けて線の強弱を付けることも出来ない。斜めにするとインクは出ません。それと完全なる不透明インクです。さてとりあえず花を描いてみました。輪郭に使用すると写真3枚目のような感じ。ドバッとインクが出てしまった箇所が滲んでいるのがお分かりいただけるだろうか。4枚目で着色、本品5本のみ使用。ご覧の通りはっきりした色なので混色にはまっっっったく向きません。色が濁ります。陰影を出そうと重ねると濁るしインクの強弱も出せないので本品だけで遠近もかなり出しにくい。本品はあくまで輪郭用・単色使いの画材なんだなぁと実感致しました。やはり特性を生かすならば、夏休みの工作などでガラス瓶に絵付けをするのに向いているのでしょう。ただ実際ガラス瓶に描いてみたんですが、乾くのに時間がかかる・すぐ別の色を塗ろうとするとインクが混ざる・瓶を立てて置くとインクが垂れる・湿った布で拭くと乾いたインクでも落ちる(周りのホコリを取ろうと軽く拭いたら取れてしまった…)、などなど滞りなく制作を行うには注意が必要です。それと面白いのが緑と黄色は乳白色なので上書きが出来ます。完全ではありませんがかなりはっきりとハイライトを後から足すことが出来ます。慣れてくると紫、白、ピンク、茶色辺りの色もあればいいのになぁと感じてくる。なかなか楽しい時間を過ごせてます。星は4ですかね、お子さんにやらせますとペンを押し付けたまま次に描く線を迷うと思うんですがそうするとインクがドバッと出ます。写真3枚目のように迷いなく30秒でパパッと描いても出るのでそこだけ改善の余地があるかなと感じました。慣れてしまえばドバッと出る部分も味に変えられます。
