As the headline says, it charges, but it charges slow. This is not a problem, unless you don't plan, and if you own the batteries to charge with this charger, then you know you gotta be patient and do it over night. But, bless if it doesn't do its job like a charm. The connector feels light, and you wonder if it'll do, but it sure does! Actually, over the couple of years I've used this charger I'm thankful for the relatively small and "lite" packaging since it fits in my quick grab toolbox, and is always handy. Honestly, it sits ready in my workshop just doing its job when I need it, so forgive what you might think at first is "cheap light plastic feel", for "efficient, lightweight does its freaking job" material. Just don't expect a fast charge, though, I've taken it off plenty of times while it still said it was charging and my drill worked like the day I bought it. Oh, side note, the light on mine to show charging or not is really dim, but that's cosmetic. Heck, I may even have a faulty one and it still does its job. This is a great charger for the batteries it's meant for. The specs in the description were correct for me.

I had an older drill and lost the charger to it. I then decided to buy a newer drill and let my friend borrow my drill. My friend then loses the charger to the new drill. I found this charger and was compatible to both batteries to my drill. Now I have to operational drills and happy with the charger as it's small and easy to store along side my drill so it doesn't get lost again.

I needed a charger for my old Black & Decker bush trimmer. It worked perfect!! I had bought one prior to this one which I had to return. This one it's small, easy to adjust and charged it right away. Loved it, glad I found it!!!

I have a 2007 Black and Decker CDC 1440 Type 1 cordless drill and three batteries. I bought it at a garage sale and it came with three batteries and a charger. The old charger failed so I recently purchased this charger. It is very small as described. It does have a green light and is easy to use. However, there are two issues with this charger: it apparently only works on 2007 or newer batteries, and when you recharge a slightly discharged battery, it still takes 6.5 hrs for the green light to go out.My three batteries look identical and the charger fit all three. I tried to recharge all three, but the green light only came on for one of them. I reexamined the other two batteries. I cleaned the contacts. I jiggled the charger as I put it on and the light slightly flickered. I carefully tried many times over several days to get the green light to stay on. I failed each time. I put the charger on both of the two batteries for 6.5 hrs without the light on (thinking the light might not work intermittently) but they didn't charge.Looking closely at the batteries I noticed they have model numbers near the red lock/release button. The charger worked on model 2007 28-BM 412. It failed on model 2006 21BM 110 and model 2005 29BM 140. Frustrating that the description doesn't state "only works on 2007 and newer batteries. The date of manufacture is located near the red lock/release button." Also, maybe the green light doesn't come on if the battery is too old to be recharged. If that's the case it should also be stated.My second issue is that I used the drill for two minutes with the one battery that recharged. I like to recharge batteries before I put them away. So I put on the recharger. The green light came on, but it took 6.5 hours for the light to go off. Seems odd it would take that long.So, check your battery date of manufacture before you buy this.

The charger was delivered on Friday, and I plugged it into the battery as soon as I opened it. The battery was fully charged when I got up on Saturday, so I used it on my drill right away, and it solved the issue. It worked just great !

Item finally arrived well past the predicted timeframe. Seller not very helpful stating customs could take up to 6 weeks to process which is untrue.

Used to recharge B&D batteries, works well: the lights on the charger provide a good indication of charging in progress and when it's done.
