I was worried when I ordered my cane because of a lot of folks that got canes that had big problems. I'm happy to say that the one I received is just great. I already have a family heirloom free-form cane made by my Father-in-law from a tree-trim Mulberry stick from the one in the front yard of our old place. It has great sentimental value to me. Now he's been gone for years, but his cane remains, & now as an 83 yr. stroke victim, I rely on a cane all the time. I've never been conventional, so the free-form cane is a natural.This Brazos cane is a beautiful work of art. Crafted by hand by a person who was thinking. Of course, yours will be different, but mine is slender, very strong, but very light. Tiny branch roots have been cut off & each area blended & smoothed, creating beautiful color variations. The handle on mine is very comfortable to grip. It's not quite like the picture, instead, being a little more like a large bird's beak. There's enough point to my handle that it "could" be lethal if swung hard at a predator's head. I'm a peaceful person, so that won't happen. All things considered, I'm very happy with my cane. "IF" something ever happened to it, I'll get another.As received, the 37" cane was just a little too long for me. But it was a very simple matter to pull off the rubber tip, cut off 2 ", & bump the tip back on. I used a hack saw & I could tell that this is very tough wood.

I LOVE these wonderful, natural, knobby, handmade canes!! The 37” version is the Perfect height for me — I’m 5’10”. I just had [another] spinal fusion surgery and after graduating from my walker to walking sticks, now felt it was time for good strong canes — I ordered 2 — one for each hand. I love the feel and look of these sturdy canes — each one is a work of art!

Really feel safe with this cane. Support and handle much better then metal canes.Added a little strap to carry when hands full.

Ordered for my husband who needs it for mobility but did not want something that looks like a medical device. This cane is unique and very attractive and he is delighted with it! It is a bit too long but as other reviewers suggested, can easily be cut off to shorten it to the length he needs. Delivery was also fairly quick, it was delivered a day before we were told it would be. My husband always likes to have an extra one of just about everything so I think we will order another!

This review is for the Brazos Walking Sticks hardwood natural root cane. The cane arrived in good time, and in good order. It is every bit as attractive as I had hoped. It is as light as a feather yet very sturdy. I am over 275 lbs and have no trouble trusting this cane for my support. There is absolutely no flexibility to it at all, as I have read in some other reviews. I did remove the rubber tip that came with it and replaced it with a crutch tip. There was nothing wrong with the original, I just like the bit of cushion that comes with a crutch tip. The tip provided seems to be of good quality and should last a good long time. I wish I could get a photo that accurately shows the rich color of this cane, it is really nice looking. I highly recommend this cane.

I ordered this cane for my father but sadly it arrived with a large crack on the handle. The crack bothered his hand and made the grip uncomfortable. Also the handle had a couple of nots/notches (happens in natural wood) that have started to come apart. Also not sure if it was intended but the handle was rough and not shiny and treated like the rest of the cane. Too bad, my father liked the cane but was unable to use it.

Fits nice in my hand. I love the unique shape. No 2 are alike. It’s strong and sturdy
