different in a good way
I think of all the series the author has written, this one more than any other focuses on events outside the day jobs of the H. There are elements of them being on missions and this does cross over into meeting/rescuing their h (Ghost/Rayne etc) but there is less of this here than is typical in this genre and seen in other of the authors work. And I like it!!The Big Bang introduction here is when Coach and Harley meet when he’s helping out as an instructor at his friends skydiving centre and Harley is there as she wants the actual experience so she can replicate it more precisely in the video games she designs - what a job, what a woman! She’s just as independent and strong as you might expect her to be and having rescued Coach (you have to read it to find out why/how) the book focuses very much on their budding and building relationship, with the expected dramatic element towards the last 25% of the book closing it up nicely with a hea.

Great
Seriously enjoyed this book.Harley is an introverted game designer who to make her latest game more realistic decided to take a sky dive and get first hand experience on what it feels like. She’s paired with coach as her jump master. Coach can’t take his eyes off her and is enjoying being the one to take her on her first jump. unfortunately They have an accident and it’s up to Harley to save them. After all the excitement coach makes it his mission to get to know Harley better. All is going well until Harley just disappears.I love a good Susan Stoker book and this one is no different.I enjoyed the showing of how coach worked hard to gain Harleys trust and how their relationship developed. Much as it was insta love their relationship developed over a couple of months. The only thing I’d say is that I wanted to see coach’s alpha male side. He didn’t get to swoop in and save his woman like the other books and I would love to have seen that side of him.

Great
This was a bit different from the rest of the series. I won't go into detail as I wouldn't want to spoil it but the format is very different. In the others the Delta and his woman meet usually in an intense way, they become a couple, bad guys attack and the team save the day. Not so much in this one. The main action happens in the first quarter of the book and the rest is the aftermath. There's a lot of relationship/family stuff which is all really well written, funny and interesting. But if you're looking for action packed, this one is a bit tamer. Not as high octane as the others and I missed that a bit towards the end but Coach and Harley were great characters. I personally didn't feel that Coach got enough of a chance to be a hero. I like it when they get to save the day! But that's just me.A good read but not as thrilling as the others. However, Susan's worst novel would still be 10 times better than most of the military romance out there! She writes a great alpha hero.

Rescuing Harley
A love story with honesty about how our bodies prove we live and love with that someone special. Kelsey is a gentle soul, but with a backbone of steel. Coach is a “special” soldier who will do anything to keep her safe and happy

Good.
No crazy lunatics out for revenge in this story, but a remarkable woman who survives a freak accident or two.The Delta boys and their women come together in another lovely story of camaraderie.Harley is a gaming nerd and Coach is our intelligence expert. The story has wonderful characters, steam and action.
