DaleMedical 811 Abdominal Binder, 4 Panel, 12" Wide, Stretches to Fit 46"-62"

This is the 2nd of this support binder that I have purchased and it works fantastic. My belly hangs and I am able to move freely by using this product. It’s great support when wearing my dresses that I love. I can walk longer periods of time without getting tired because of the weight I carry.

Larger size for abdominal hernias, and 12 inches high, big enough to stablize a large man's protruding hernia.Helping to protect the hernia itself, it also flattens the abdomen so clothing fits smoothly. For what it is, it works. But I don't think they are necessary if you haven't had a c-section. I had a vaginal delivery and was told it might help with the shrinking of the uterus, but I breast feed and found it totally unnecessary.But it's good quality, the velcro is very secure and I would recommend it to women who've had surgery around their abdomen.

I purchased this to use for support after I underwent abdominal surgery (hysterectomy). When I first received it I thought it was a little "thin" (flimsy). When I left the hospital they had given me one that was made from a thicker fabric. However once I started getting up and around I found this binder to be more comfortable than the thicker one. I can wear it under clothing with no problems (granted my pants are a little looser now than before my surgery!). It is holding up very well and is good quality.

Works very well for postpartum binding to shape waist, stomach and abdominal area. Not necessarily just for mothers whom have gone through C-section; gives great abdominal support for normal delivery as well. Get a size smaller as the stretchability reduces as you lose weight.

Bought these for my dad who has had several abdominal hernias. They offer great support for him and wash well. He wears it every day. He moves around a lot at work (maintenance man for a manufacturing facility) and it stays in place well. We have tried others from Airway Oxygen and Carelinc offered locally in their stores and the quality of the brands they carry do not compare. They arrived earlier than expected and were packaged well too.

This binder is sturdy without feeling stiff, hot, or scratchy. And the velcro is quite strong. I worried that washing it in the washing machine (gentle cycle, line dry) would kill the velcro, but it's holding up nicely. Best of all, it offers great support when I sit or bend at the waist. I couldn't be happier with this product.
