Worked like a charm.
This is a great device for my laptop! It works perfectly, connected very quickly, it worked the first time! The quality of the goods is excellent, I did not notice any problems. The device does not heat up! It works fast!I am always wanting to connect so many devices to my laptop but it is not always efficient to have so many wires coming directly from my laptop. This makes it so easy to just plug everything into one location and have it work for everything and be able to unplug my laptop whenever I want and carry it with me to bed without disrupting the wires to be able to plug back in the next day. It is extremely fast when I use multiple displays I can't even tell that it is not plugged directly into my surface. Its nice to be able to charge and use all the devices at the same time.I am very pleased with the purchase, thanks for the fast delivery!

Great product and worth the price!
Im really impressed with this. I have two others from Dell. They are more expensive but can support 4 monitors but it must be plugged have its own power source for the monitors to work. I just connect this to my laptop and monitors, everything is ready to go. So many ports more ports than Dell’s. Made my extended usb ports device obsolete so everything is so neat! Got my usb memory stick, sd card, wireless keyboard, wireless mouse and 3 monitors all connected and works smoothly, no impact to screen quality. Love it!I can’t rate tech support as i’ve had this for maybe 3 months. Have never encountered a problem so have no need to contact tech support Great product!

Inconsistent multiple monitor support
I am on my second one of these. The first one never worked to support any typed of additional monitor. This one was replaced. It worked for two months supporting two additional monitors (Displayport and VGA) several USB devices (microphone, camera, SD card reader, USB receivers for mouse, keyboard, etc). It stopped working after 2 months, sort of, it now can only handle 1 monitor at a time (either one, just not both at the same time). The main feature that attracted me was the multiple monitor support. This appears to by inconsistent at best. Everything else seems to work fine.I'm editing to say that this is so sensitive and unreliable, that I would not recommend it to anyone. I have tried a lot of things to keep it going, but daily, I am dealing with monitors shutting off in the middle of working and/or screen artifacts when they are on. When it really works, it is great, but this is not a given.

Worth the price! Some drawbacks
Notes:As far as the seller and shipping time goes, no complaints!I think I have the surface pro i5, Windows 10, mainly used for work- VPN from homeI have not used every portThis docking station does NOT charge your Surface Pro (SP), You still plug your charger in.If your external monitors are different and have different dpi’s, this will be affected if you “duplicate” displays. For example, one of my external monitors is older and has a VGA cord, the other is newer and has a HDMI cord. Between the Surface Pro and these 2 monitors, all have different optimal resolutions with SP being the highest. If I duplicate displays and keep it on optimal resolution for my SP, then on the monitor that’s duplicated, my icons and text are much bigger. If you choose to reduce the resolution on the SP so the monitor shows normal, the quality is obviously degraded, but looked more normal. If you extend the displays, you can choose to set the optimal resolution for each monitor. I hope that made sense.Pros:*Great price compared to Microsoft product*Straight up plug and play, no driver downloads or anything needed*Seems to be of decent quality. Has substance, is not light and does not seem to be made of cheap plastic*Accepts a multitude of different connection types, whereas with the Microsoft station I think I would have had the addl’ cost of adapters for my monitors that have different plug types*Was able to connect 2 external monitors*Was able to connect an external keyboard and mouse*Can duplicate displays (so surface pro can be closed and put to the side)*Extend displays allows you to utilize/work on all 3 monitors individuallyCons:*Did not seem to charge my cell phone when plug into it, had to move to an outlet with a USB adapter.*NO AUDIO while plugged into this docking station, so had to plug in external speakers.*VPN ONLY WORKS ON 1 MONITOR. Cannot slide Windows/pages onto other screens (only tried it in Duplicate displays using 2 monitors) This issue was a real bummer for me as this is my main usage. I do not know that this would be better for Microsoft docking station or if I need to modify a setting. Haven’t figured this one out yet. And I have 2 monitors at work and i used to use both screens for VPN at home when I was using a desktop PC.Other than the VPN issue, this docking station seems to be worth the price and maybe I would have had same issues with MS docking station. Who knows? Hopefully i’ll find out a solution for it, and i’m Hoping it’s just some setting. I’ll have to ask someone more tech savvy than I!

Works great!
Purchased this product so I can do my homework on bigger screens when I'm at home. This product works better than I expected. Easy set up!

Video cables need to be bidirectional
This device worked as stated. I had trouble getting the digital port working. Called tech support and they replaced the unit. I had also ordered another cable. It turns out that the cable has to be a bidirectional cable for the computer to activate the 3rd monitor. So even though the other cables that I tried worked great with other systems, they don't work here unless they are bidirectional.

Display port doesn't work
The hdmi and vga ports work but the display port doesn't. I wouldn't buy it. The computer should be able to support 3 screens and this one is only working for 2

Works Very Well
Don't go out and purchase any expensive dock style units, I have been using this "docking" station for many weeks and it is working very well and allows my most used peripheral to be ready on the Macbook as soon as I connect it. 1 connection to get everything ready to be used is very convenient. This unit works perfect and I have 2 external hard drives, my iPhone and printer on the USB ports and it works sweet!! Get it worth it.
