Under the NileOrganic Veggie Crate

I really like these vegetables, and the crate is also great. The vegetables are cute and seem to be well-made (though there are some small irregularities since they are handmade). You don't get the items exactly as they are pictured, though (my carrot had a little peaked cap, not the tendril-y material strips). Also, while the carrot, mushroom and tomato were basically sized correctly (the mushroom is big-- about the size of a portobello), the peas are about the size of a banana. That was a little odd.And as for the crate, there is enough room for a few more veggies in it (we also have the broccoli, asparagus and eggplant, and they "fit," though now it's overflowing). The crate itself is well-made and sturdy, but also very lightweight. My son loves taking the vegetables out of the crate and putting them back in again.Overall, this is a pretty great toy-- I just wish all the vegetables were relatively life-sized.

Smaller than expected but I love it! It's GOTS certified and my 5 month old loves sucking on the carrot and peas. Very soft. I love how I can throw it in the washer and dryer and not worry what he is chewing on. We don't buy plastic toys and this is a great alternative. I took one star off because the stitching on the peas seems a bit loose so I'm not sure how it would hold up to super rough baby play. Under the Nile is an amazing company that provides safe toys.

Very cute! Soft yet firm :) AND It's organic!I would have given it 5 stars but I can't say my baby is very attracted to them -.- The red one is her favorite because of the color but she can't hold things that shape yet. If in a few months, she likes them better, I will upgrade it to 5 stars.Comes in a cute wooden crate. I put the toys somewhere else and used the crate for little things like baby powder and baby balm :DWorks well to store little baby books in as well ^.^

Nice quality toys -- I liked them so much I purchased all of the fruits/veggies in this series. Carrot and bean work well for teething (although daughter favors her plastic teethers over these); tomato and mushroom are too large for little mouths to get around them. I like that we can use these to teach my daughter about vegetables as she gets older. We had to keep the wooden crate separately for a while because she would throw it around, but at 1 year now she can play with it safely and really enjoys taking the veggies out of the crate.

These toys are just beyond adorable. They're a Christmas gift for my 9 month old nephew, but before I've even given them to him I know I'm going to be buying a set for every baby shower I go to from here on out. They're definitely small- they're a perfect fit for baby hands, especially the skinnier ones. The fabric is soft but not super-soft- it's got a nice texture for teething babies who are drawn to cloth teething toys (or like my co-worker's baby, her mom's sweaters). And they're just so cute in their simplicity- the colors are bright but not garish, they don't make noise, and they seem very, very well made. I bought the eggplant and the asparagus to supplement this set, although the four alone fill the crate very nicely. Just a really awesome baby product.

Super cute veggies but when you first open the packaging, there's a super strong chemical smell, possibly just the wood, or maybe a bleaching chemical. However, the smell was all over the veggies and when baby was munching on them due to teething, I felt uneasy that she might be getting some weird chemical in her mouth. After 72 hours the smell finally went away, but I mean it was really strong.

Gave this as a gift to a friend of mine who is a vegetarian and just had a baby. She was excited that her child was going to have vegetable companions and apparently her husband is big on organic only products for their kid, so it was a double win. I can't attest to the durability, but it's been several months and I've heard reports that the child loves holding the carrot and have had no reports of fraying or any deterioration of the product.

I think that this product is great! My baby absolutely loves his carrot. He's only 6 months old but has been having terrible teething fits. once I give him his little carrot he immediately goes to work. The only negative that I have is that the toys had a little bit of lint on them and were a little dusty. I put them in the washer on the steam cycle and they were fine. Good product.
