Good for science club
I used this at school for a science assembly with some volunteers to launch a science club. It was very 'POP'ular. Not as big as some other chemistry sets, but it had everything I needed for the experiments.

Science fun
My sons have really enjoyed this kit - they are both very interested in science so this kit was right up their street! It is very hands on which is great to hold attention. You can do 15 experiments and everything you need is included. You do need a few extra ingredients but these are not too expensive or hard to source. You can also repeat the experiments so it has longevity as well.Would make a nice gift.

Excellent
We absolutely love BUKI in this house and this one was no disappointment. The kids had great fun setting up the experiments and learning plenty of science in the way.

Great fun, as well as being educational.
My ten year old nieces school hosted a science show over the summer term this year. Apparently a group of actors came to the school and did loads of scientific experiments on the stage and the children absolutely loved it, especially those who were lucky enough to be asked to participate. I know she is going to be blown away with this set when I give it to her. You have everything you need to safely make a bomb, a geyser and a rocket. Not massive dangerous ones obviously, just mini fun experiments which give children the chance to enjoy science as fun. You would need an adult to supervise, but looking at the set, I expect that they would have as much fun as the child with this in any case. I think sets like this are a great gift idea - both great fun as well as being educational.

Great fun for mini scientists!
The best learning comes from doing practical work so this kit is perfect for budding scientists who like hands on experience and exploring with different reactions! The kit comes with almost everything you need for 15 different experiments. It also makes use of ingredients which are readily available (such as white vinegar) to allow repeat activities without great cost. This is perfect for supervised exploration and play and will capture the interests of children, both young and old!

If you're stuck for a gift - you could do worse
I'm a little bit surprised, in today's climate, that Buki have chosen to describe elements of this as a bomb making kit for kids but I guess nothing should surprise me anymore. Anyyyyway, Explosive Science, is one of those packages aimed at the 10+ child (boys predominately) Christmas gift market. Like the similarly priced magic sets these usually end up as landfill within a few months, with most of the stuff here only being practical for single use experiments. It's quite good fun, but as usual with this type of thing, most of the results are a little underwhelming so kids won't be doing them more than once. Another thing to note is pretty much all of the experiments need to be done outdoors (unless you want to mess your house up) so you won't be doing these on Christmas day. Hard to really recommend this but if you're stuck buying a gift you could do worse.

Needs adult supervision
This is fun, but the instructions are a bit limited. Each page contains several languages so there's very little description regarding the experiment itself. The child won't learn very much unless there is an adult to explain the chemistry. The safety goggle are pretty cool and my son loved those. He is 10 and they just about fitted. They might be a bit tight on anyone older. There are enough chemicals to try each experiment a few times.

Making science fun and interesting
I have home educated grandchildren so although they go to lots of sessions for music, drama, science, art etc. anything like this is a welcome addition. The box is very jolly and emphasises fun - always a good start. It contains the equipment for 15 explosive experiments and includes one pair of safety glasses. My grandchildren will need two child sized pairs, as well as a parent sized pair so that is the first thing they are going to have to sort, the other is some warmer weather as all the experiments need to be done outdoors. There are a few easily obtainable things to get hold of as well, like an egg, orange juice, coke, and an empty plastic bottle. The booklet with the instructions is well presented in several languages and will also be an invaluable and fun educational tool for studying languages. So much more interesting than the boring stuff they provided when I was at school. This seems a much better kit than many of the “STEM” (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) toys I have seen which strike me as fairly normal toys packaged to jump on the latest marketing wheeze and no more STEM than a game of draughts.
