I grind my own spices
These are an excellent value. You would end up paying a lot more if you bought the little bottles. I grind my own spices and make my own blends for cooking. I always grind bay leaves with black peppercorns for sprinkling on steaks and other grilled meat. My chicken/pork blend has bay leaves with white peppercorns and rosemary. Also indispensable if you brine your own corned beef. I grind small amounts of spices (3 fl oz) in a coffee mill, larger in a 150g multigrinder that is designed for middle eastern or Indian cooking.

Great spice for Fall
I read that bay leaves will deter bugs coming in to the house. I put them in the window tracks and doorwall tracks, really works!
