Fantastic product combined with obd check pro app downloaded free from Amazon
I bought this device after spending a fortune on my 2004 renault scenic for a new catalytic converter and sensor only to have engine management light flashing 2 days later I took it to a different garage who diagnosed misfire on no.4 cylinder they replaced pencil coil but couldn't reset light car still felt sluggish so I bought this scanner paired it with my kindle and voila came up with misfire on cylinder no.2 just replaced pencil coil on no.2 cylinder now running perfect and allowed me to remove error code and light I'm buzzing

Avoid at all cost
Horribly crappy product. You can't connect to it. The QR code leads to a website with software that can't be used by iPhone 10. Oh, it also jams in the OBD port and you have to force it to take it off. Buy anything else but this crap.I'd gone with 0 stars if it was possible.

Effective Fault checker device, Difficult to understand fault codes, Finds faults beforehand
This is a small yet very effective device for car owners to check the faults in the car beforehand, thus avoiding future car issues, breakdowns and associated costs saving money and time. The OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) scanner/reader is a good car self diagnostic device which helps the car owners to find the status/health and monitoring the performance of the vehicle by checking the vehicle subsystems. Its easy to connect into the car via the OBD2 connection point. The device works in conjunction with an app called "Torque lite" which is free to download via the QR code provided with the pack. Now connect the device in the car, turn on the car engine. It fits well within the OBD2 port. Turn on the engine and the device activates.Connect the OBD app on your android mobile phone via Bluetooth with the device. The connection was quick and didn't take much time.I have a Hyundai i20 and it works fine in my car. It can measure various parameters associated with the car like Acceleration, Revs, Throttle, Speed, Vacuum and Coolant. This is very much needed to keep the vehicle in check.Once you start the engine, the device starts diagnosing all the faults in the car one by one. It takes about 3-4 minutes to provide result which is slow. The device can retrieve generic and vendor specific diagnostic trouble codes. These codes are difficult to understand for people who doesn't have knowledge about it.It shows the test results, faults and also shows them in the form of graphs, tabled results and also shows the adapter status. Monitors Oil, coolant temperatures, fuel pressure, O2 levels etcFortunately I didn't find any major faults in my car and the result came positive. It also shows Real Time Information. Once the device is connected to your phone, it can monitor your cars real time journey in distance, monitors acceleration, speed against time taken, O2 levels.Overall this is a good compact device, cheap in cost. Device connects well with the car, checks all the faults and monitors vehicle performance in real time.Though it's tough to read the codes for first timers and definitely needs expert advice on that.

Surprisingly useful.
I did not have many expectations of this product from the outset. I have an old car with a few (non-problematic) issues, the main one being a stuck EGR valve. While not causing any problems during normal engine running, the engine light causes an instant MOT fail and a costly reset to turn the faults off. So, armed with my chinese OBDII scanner and phone, I headed out to the car. 15 minutes later I headed back in again. The app that comes with the scanner is non-existent and the help website is in chinese. Ignore this and download an app called Torque lite. It's free on play store (no idea on apple, probably £79.99) and this site talks to the scanner just fine. Within 5 minutes of plugging the scanner in , it had identified the faults and was able to turn them off. OK, it's not an instant fix and shouldn't be used as such, but for anyone wanting to know why their car has an engine warning and doesn't feel the need to pay a garage to tell them, this cheap scanner is ideal. The fault finder links to a website which can usually tell you a bit more about the problem, which will be identified by a code and a written description. All in all, as long as you don't use the proprietary app and have a car made in the last 25 years, it should be fine.
