I’ll get the review out of the way because it’s easy: if you are considering this type of shade-on-wire, adjustable canopy, you can’t go wrong with this product. It’s great. The kit is complete with all the stainless steel hardware, wire, fabric and pull rod. Last year we had a flagstone patio put in next to our deck that we had been shading with umbrellas. So we bought three beige as a test for the deck, and liked it so much we bought three more for the patio.Like many of the reviews say, the key is getting your measurements correct before you order - and don’t forget to add the gap space between panels to your measurement. That gap measurement has varied in reviews. But as long as you are accurate with your measurements and careful laying out everything, you can get away with small gaps. We used 2” but had to make one gap 1/2” due to a miscalculation. And it worked out fine.You’ve heard the phrase, “Measure twice, cut once?” A project like this is, “Measure, measure, measure… then measure some more …. and remeasure as you go.”I also want to say Thank You to the reviewers who elaborated on their installation, and to those who answered questions - all of it was helpful to us in all our decisions, from ordering to install. So I want to do the same and try to be helpful to someone else. I’ll provide more info with detail specific to our installation in a follow up review.

The product seems fine. However, the first one arrived damaged and without the mounting hardware. The replacement also arrived without the mounting hardware.***Update:While the Amazon customer service department told me the only way to potentially resolve the issue was by returning the shade a second time and re-ordering a third time, the E&K customer service department reached out and offered to send the missing hardware. Within a week, we received the hardware and had the shade up and ready to use. We are grateful for the quick and easy resolution.The shade is great and certainly does it's job. My only wish is that the design had a feature to secure the shade at the opposite end, when is use. The slightest breeze will cause it to retract, little by little. This is not a reflection of the company. From what I can tell, none of these particular types of shades (from any brand) offer said feature.

We use to not be able to be in our patio before buying these shades. They work great. Stood up to 80mph wind storm and were not to hard to install. Cutting the excess cable off, during install, was a little troubling but not bad. Love the way they look, function and cover our patio. Great value for the money as long as you don't need to customize the size. I bought mine a little late and trimmed off the extra material to work for my pergola. I custom built my pergola, so that was important. I hope to get a lot of years of comfort from these. They seem very well engineered and constructed.

With a product like this, I am reminded of the saying that you get what you pay for. This product was around 145.00 and I am happy with the result. This solution uses cheaper steel wire rather than a track, but the carabiner clips attached to the ends to keep the shade from moving in the wind. I purchased a size that was the correct width and longer than necessary. But, I was able to cut out the unneeded sections and ended up with a good solution that looks like it was custom made for my pergola area. As the fabric becomes weathered and the birds have had their way with it, I will likely purchase another one since it is a very good solution for the money. Sometimes the best solution is the cheapest. I was fortune with this one.

We have had the. Installed for 3 months. The control tape is a total failure. It has broken between each swag. Very cheap material but could tell that when installing. Also needs a way to keep the end attached when having the shade out. We bought caribeaners and use them to clip to the end. Time will tell how long the actual shade material will last.

First thing I wanted to acknowledge the excellent customer service. I have purchased two 4x12 and four 3x16 canopies. Both 4x12 canopies were missing the mounting hardware, I'd contacted the E&K, Mekia responded within a day and processed the missing hardware, I'd received the hardware within 10 days.The initial installation took awhile but after the first one installed and got the routine down the rest were much easier and faster.All of the canopies were too long, we left the extra sections and hung them at the end for extra shades.The only thing I may change is the distances (gap) between each shade. I had between 7-8" on the 4x12 and 6" between the 3x16. Realized that the angle of the sun created a much wider hot spot. I may reposition the the canopies to 3-4" to minimize the hot spots.Overall they look great in our new deck and very affortable the price. We love them and enjoy our daily relaxation under the shade.

Not that hard to install. The instructions weren’t bad only missed a few notes which would have been nice such as what to do with the control tape provided. The hardware is polished stainless and should hold up well. Adjusted length to suit my pergola by cutting it off and still looks finished.

We ordered three panels for our deck last Fall and are installing them now to enjoy the summer. The first two are stunning and make such a difference on the deck. Unfortunately, the final panel arrived without the hardware so we could not install it. When I tried to contact the sell about the mistake they said that because it was past the return date, they could not help me. I was surprised and disappointed that a company affiliated with Amazon wouldn't just send the missing hardware - and I could install the final panel. Instead I am left with the Canvas panel but no way to install it. Lesson here: make sure to check the box that the hardware is included.
