Good product - poor delivery. Item supplier provided inaccurate delivery status information
I purchased the item as a simple to use and bulletproof terrestrial broadcast recording device was needed. The PVR9200T is not feature rich but it is very easy to use and diagnose faults with. The supplier "PC Gamer" indicated that the item had been delivered. I had to get into dispute with them through Amazon and interestingly the item was found not to have been delivered and was delivered 72 hours after the dispute started; at no time did the seller acknowledge receipt or communicate with me. In summary, the product is fine but be careful of third part suppliers.

I expected more of it
I am very disapointed with it because it keeps freezing and when I play what I have taped I run it forward to cancel the adverts it will not stop but keeps going. or I press the remote and nothings happens,

Bang average
Bang average. Bought as a basic box for my 83yr old grandmother. Deletes recordings randomly and sometimes makes a funny noise. Suppose I got what I paid for.

A nearly excellent SD freeview recorder.
This is a very good standard definition freeview recorder, and it can transfer recordings to PC via usb which is more than can be said for the newer Humax HD YouView box that i've got.Another thing this does that the newer one doesn't is to let you switch really fast from one channel to another using the 'back' button on the remote, this made it possible to watch telly without having to endure all the adverts, most of the time, also this one connects to my old telly no bother using SCART-SCART cable but the new box doesn't.This only has a relatively small HDD but it's no problem if you can save stuff you want keeping.Only 4 stars because the receiver needs a signal booster to get any channels, my little basic bush freeview box didn't need any such help so neither should this one really but it does have twin tuners so i dunno if i'm being unfair there or not. Still, deffo recommended if you only need SD reception, might need a booster though.

Good, cheap and chearful
Have had this product for one year now. It never forgets to record, not so far any way. There is a delay after you select a program on the EPG or select a recording, but no longer than a couple of seconds. As said on other reviews it can freeze up occasionally, but just turn it off by the mains and switching it back on again does the trick. Brought this second hand due to budgetary restrictions after my Digihome (sounds promising) recording box died four months after the warranty ended. This box is still good now, but would only recommend for use on smaller TV's as only runs off SCART, and looks a bit grainy and streched on big TV's.

Excellent Quality and User-Friendly - Never Equalled
I purchased the Humax PVR9200T Freeview recorder second hand via Amazon after checking out reviews of old and new Set Top Box HDD recorders, of all makes. This model has very high ratings - even against newer highfalutin products, which seem to have numerous glitches and it's pot luck if you get a good or bad one of the latest ones. After ordering, I realised that I should have checked that the latest firmware update had been applied to the machine - which it had. The latest and last update is version 1.00.23, which you should confirm before buying.Although, there was no manual or USB transfer software with the used Humax I purchased, these were easily found and downloaded from the web. Also, scart leads are very and cheap easy to pick up anywhere.Being a second hand model the fan was rather dusty, but after unplugging from the mains and taking off the cover (5 screws), the fan is easily removed (4 Screws) and then gently cleaned with a soft brush. Also, it is very quiet when switched on - a common criticism of other machines. After installation, an on-screen message appeared: "The Antenna Cable Is Short-Circuited". Others have puzzled over this, but the remedy is to turn the "Antenna Power" in the Menu "Off".There is only one recording quality format, which produces excellent picture quality, indiscernible from the original transmission. Of course it's not high-definition, but we can live with that.I have found the machine very easy to set up and operate - it is very user-friendly.So if you're thinking about it, save yourself a lot of money and buy one.

Disappointing, but thank you vendor
This was a disappointment, as I had had good results from Humax before. The buttons on the remote control were incredibly stiff and pretty well unusable. The box took signal to the extent that some channels could not be played using the TV's tuner. The picture on the Humax tuner was poor quality. The good news was that the vendor refunded us immediately without fuss.

Humax
This does everything you would expect from a HDD recorder. The only complaint I have is that it does not come with the cables needed to upgrade the software or use the USB connection. If you intend to do this you will have to budget this into the cost. The software can be upgraded over the air but there are only selected times when this can be done and unfortunately I missed the last one and the next ne is not scheduled for a while. The picture quality is excellent and it is easy to use. I had it up and running in less than ten minutes. The two tuners was the main reason I bought it and as expected this has proved its worth. You can watch one programme while recording another or even record two programmes at the same time.If you intend to burn a disk of your recording, the software for transfering the recordings via the USB to your computer is a bit "Windows 95" but it does work. I have not tried transferring recordings via the scart to a DVD recorder because I don't have a recorder but what I have read in Forums this is easy enough. All in all I would recommend this PVR
