Retractable Cargo Cover Black Compatible with 2015-2019 Subaru Outback(with Power Lift Gate)

I have a 2018 Subaru Outback with a power lift gate. Purchased this product in 1/2022.The cover seems sturdy enough and of course putting it in the car was a cinch. However, I'm not satisfied with how well it covers the back. There's a pretty big gap on both sides and at the hatchback.Prior to purchase I reached out the manufacturer who stated there had been product upgrades so there was better coverage. If I did receive an upgraded model, they need to work on it again.Fortunately, the rear of my car has some window tinting and that helps obscure visibility. But, if I had had a better idea of the deficit in coverage, I would NOT have purchased this product. It seems too much a hassle to return and it does a fair job of covering the trunk (and as I mentioned it does seem sturdy), so I'll keep it. Overall, this is a disappointing product because I got this with the purpose of covering the trunk area.Please seee the images I attached. I didn't have a measuring tape but the side gaps are just about as wide as a burt's bees chapstick. In one photo you can see the turquoise of a sleeping bag- this is very apparent looking directly down as opposed to how the photo was taken. The entire length of the gate is exposed by a large amount (you can see the end of hiking shoes and my jumper cables).

Not, quite, as sturdy as original equipment. but for the price difference, good enough. First one that arrived was damaged, but was replaced, quickly. 2nd one has a little defect, but decided to keep that one. The clips that are supposed to hook onto the headrest posts do not match up on my 2015 Outback. Debating if I'm, just, going to cut them., off. The cover seems pretty stable w/o them, so that's annoying, but not a deal breaker.

Fits great nice product

I have 2017 Outback with the poser lift gate which this product claims to fit. However, I have had to add felt material into where the main rod attaches to reduce the rattling noise related to the rather loose fit. Further, the rod that pulls out is so narrow that I have had to drill and glue half an inch of wood on either end to keep it from rolling up when I hit a pot hole. Finally, the end of the cover is not stiff enough to cover the space between the supporting rod and the end of the trunk such that it is easy to see the last 6 inches or so of the trunk if you want to see if there is anything valuable back there.On the positive side material feel sturdy enough to last awhile and it does work with some small alterations.

Nice design. Panel next to the seat clips to the headrests. Fits well all around. All black which looks good with the black leather of my Outback. Good price, too. I think it looks better than the Subaru cover which was missing from my 2018 CPO Outback when I bought it. Only have it a month so cannot comment on longevity, but it seems sturdy enough.

I just received this product. It feels very sturdy and it's really easy to install. The privacy screen has 2 pairs of clips that attach directly to the poles of the headrest: no straps needed. Seller was very responsive when I had a question.

It fit my 2017 Subaru Outback, and was very easy to install!
