Awesome drone
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Easy to use and very durable. First flight was in the wind and had no problem controlling the drone.

Great Beginner Drone
My husband and I bought this drone for our son for his birthday. He is having a lot of fun with it. The camera quality is much better than I expected it to be. I'm so glad he is loving this! My husband and I are birthday rock stars now!

Finally a drone 4 less than $300 with the ability of the best drones in the market & a little more.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The SNAPTAIN SP700 should stand for "SICK PUPPY". This BEAST of a lightning fast and easy to fly drone has been designed to impress even the most pessimistic drone enthusiast. I personally own the SNAPTAIN A10 (MINI ME), A15H (SUPER MAN), SP300 (UFO), & now the SP700 (THE BEAST)... looking to get the SP510 soon as well. Even with my experience with SNAPTAIN's drones I have to say that this one blew me out the water! I mean how much more can you really expect to get @ these prices? This drone not only zips across the sky at outrageous speeds but it takes some of the coolest aerial photos & videos of my entire collection. Mind you I also have the competitor's drones like the one that costs a mortgage payment & even though it might be equipped with enough tech to fly a rocket into space, it still isn't as much fun to fly as this awesome SNAPTAIN creation. The best so far!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. First, Tech Support was great! They solved earlier issues, (pilot error) very quickly, and even helped me register the drone. I only worked thru emails, but the support was prompt and friendly. The SP700 is a larger, well made drone. Actually heavier than I thought it would be.That weight also means you have to register it with the FAA.The only drove I have to compare it to are the S5c and SP660.Both have options not available in the SP700.Voice control, 360 flip, G-sensor, and speed selection, for example. And there are some options they all share, like trajectory points, Return to home, etc.But the GPS makes the SP700 shine!Incredibly stable flight, even in winds that would take down the others. No need for trimming the drone to stop drift. GPS is a different world. The brushless motors seem stronger, and I was getting about 16 minutes flight timeOther great option available on the SP700-If the battery gets low, or you fly out of range, or press the RTH, the SP700 ends up at your start point, or very close to it.BTW, If you use the RTH, the drone goes up to 30 meters before flying home. Great option to clear obstacles, but scary to see your drone shoot up into the sky when it is suppose to be coming home! But it landed about 11" from where I started.Other options, only available with the app, like Follow Me, and Point of Interest worked great, and are adjustable in the app. Using your phone with the app give your more options, but you can't fly the SP700 from the app. FPV makes flying the drone much more exciting. The camera is more than good enough for what I use it for. In the video, you can see the waves on the ocean beach from 4 blocks away.Is it worth the higher price? Yes! The GPS adds a new level of control. It is a very well made drone, with great flight time. It is just amazing to take your drone up 100 feet, and it just stays right where you position it. Spare parts are scarce, but other drones like the Bugs 2 SE has some compatible parts.Check around. Also, the app for the S5c and SP660 work on a Fire HD 8, but the SP700 does not. I emailed support and they quickly replied, tech support said it probably has to do with the 5G.Hope the review helps someone, and happy flying!

Smart features bailed me out
Being new to drones, the RTH button in GPS mode was critical until I honed my manual flight skills. Early on after becoming hopelessly disoriented, releasing the controls and pressing that button always saved the day. Now I use it more out of laziness than necessity. Headless mode also came in handy a couple of times. The POI feature works as advertised. Without a stabilized camera found on more expensive models, video will naturally be shaky on windy days, but the drone itself handles winds below 15-20 kts effortlessly and flies a near-perfect circle at the radius and altitude of my choosing. The 2K camera is set at a fixed angle, but it's the perfect angle for my purposes. Video and stills are beautiful, but occasionally get some minor video "flutter". In my non-scientific opinion, this might just be the sun shining through the moving props at certain angles. All other features tested well. The only problem I've occasionally encountered was during drone initialization after plugging in the battery. All drone LED's flashed RED, but unplugging and re-plugging the battery usually worked. Might be a minor Pairing issue with the remote.Overall, for the price, I'm amazed at how loaded this thing is with features (that work as advertised). I highly recommend this for beginners like me, however, as my skills have improved, so has my enjoyment.

Great drone
Set up was easy. Phone app is really good and and easy to use. This is my first drone with GPS. I love the 'return to home' feature. One push of the button and it will fly up about 30 meters, to avoid trees, and return to your take off point. I did not time the battery life but I estimate its about 15 minutes in cold temps. I was done doing what I wanted to before the battery died. Takes great aerial photos (photo included). This is a cool drone, stable in flight and easy to use for beginners while still fun for experts.
