Excellent outdoor distribution splice
This is an excellent splice for outdoor waterproof use. It does take skill to properly use it. If you trim your wires correctly and tighten them properly into the block you will have a solid connection. The cover has the gel sealant already installed so you have to carefully line up the block and close the cover around it. The cover will snap shut cleanly if properly installed. It is best to line up the block in the middle of the cover between the halves and close both sides at once. You can use a small flathead screwdriver to help line it up as you close it. I have seen complaints that the cover does not fit or work. It is a waterproof cover that only fits one way and has to be correctly lined up. If you just try to shove it in the cover and close it, it will not work. I also saw someone say it trips the breaker because they tried to splice two separate wires. This is a connection and distribution block. If you have positive and negative or line and neutral or line and line you need two blocks. If you stick a line and neutral in this block and are surprised the breaker trips (that just saved you) then you probably do not have the necessary skill to be doing electrical work and should get training and learn or have someone experienced help you or show you or do it for you to prevent a fire or other problems. This is an excellent product when used properly.

Fantastic Piece of Waterproof Splicing Unit!
Pic may be hard to see, but it’s on the upper left hand side of the battery under the terminal block. It’s a great piece of equipment for certain!Worked like a charm especially for my application (adding a $6000 stereo to my $5000 car).

Does what it is supposed to
Works great. The "lid" was a little tough to close, but what do you expect for something making a great practically weatherproof seal?

Worked great.

Note what is appears
It looks like you can splice two independent lines. It's one solid aluminum block so it will blow the circuit breakers. Results are it's 3 times the cost for single splicing block.
