Acceptable value winder at sale price
So, with the Wolf winder I have, as well as a Belocia, to compare, where does this Heiden fit in? At $120, it is very close to being a very good value, and I bought it because I needed a smaller single winder, battery operated, that still had a full range of options in terms of turns per day, and choice of rotational direction.I'm kind of stuck between four or five stars, and I guess I'd be happiest to give it four and a half.It gets high marks for its silent operation, vertical design (putting the motor under, rather than behind the watch cradle, allowing for a smaller surface footprint), wide range of winding options (making it useful for almost any watch), smartly placed front on/off button, and a generally handsome (but kind of "faux" luxury) appearance.Where it falls short is in comparison to Wolf, where, for only twenty more dollars, you get glass, instead of Heiden's plastic window (was honestly disappointed in plastic, for an over one hundred dollar price that was supposedly a discount from over three hundred), an overall more luxurious look and feel than the Heiden's slightly cheaper look, and a superior holder which is larger and sturdier.Granted, since the Heiden seats the watch in a more vertical position, it can get away with a holder that is essentially a cup with a pillow in it, but the included springed pillow is small and flimsy. They do include an "expansion" sleeve, but it's just fabric covered cardboard so, again, that impression of cheapness. It does hold my watch just fine, just not in lap of luxury as the Wolf, or even, to some degree, the Belocia. So, it kind of feels like one you might see for fifty or sixty dollars, dressed up to accommodate double the price point. I could not imagine paying the supposed MSRP listed as more than three hundred. That would feel like a rip off, for sure, but at $120, it feels only slightly overpriced. It's certainly nice enough to keep and it is one of the very few smaller sized winders (although quite tall at over 7 inches), with a cover, that isn't either totally a junky ball of plastic or just totally outrageously expensive (like a Swiss KubiK). Add that it has the option of battery operation (works well because I don't have to have it near an outlet) and, as I say, for $120, it's pretty decent and it definitely gets the job done. But considering paying only a tiny fraction more puts you into a legendary Wolf winder, I'd just say to really comparison shop before making this purchase. You're paying more than a hundred dollars, even at the sale price, and there are some superior options in that range, depending on what is most important for you in a winder. For me, it was a win because of the slightly smaller size and portability, while keeping most of what a Wolf offers, but, based on the disappointing element of a bit of "cheapness" to it, I wouldn't buy it at a higher price.* works silently, keeps watch wound, full range of features and option of battery operation* slightly cheap in feel and appearance, plastic window instead of glass* acceptable value at $120, much better options out there if the price was increased* would buy again, at the sale price, specifically for the smaller size with its feature set, but would not buy if not on sale* would recommend to comparison shop before purchasing, just to be sure it's what you want, versus other options in the $120 rangeThanks for reading! Hope this helps!

Lifetime is most important as I've had two units of a different brand fail within 3 weeks.
This product is in a trial phase. Two other units of a different brand failed within two weeks of turn on. I am cautiously optimistic that the Heiden unit (which cost 4X times the other units) will last for a period of time measured in years, not weeks.

Kind of noisy
This is a beautiful displayed winder, The packaging is superb! It arrived very quickly and double boxed. The winder is beautifully cased. I have had it for a few weeks now, it seems to be working properly. I really like the fact that you can turn it on and off from the front display, which is one reason why I chose it. The reason I only gave four stars is because it does make a noise when In operation, it is definitely not silent!!!! I would return it but it seems such a chore to box it up properly. Luckily I have a large bedroom, and my closet is quite far away, Or I would not be able to handle the noise. I would not recommend this one if you are a light sleeper, and "Desire" quiet undisturbed sleep. It is not a loud noise , kind of like an annoying ticking clock. But some people may not be bothered by that. If not by all means you should buy it. I would give a bazillion stars for the packaging, good job !!!!!

Many nice features, a few cons.
It does the job, it silent as a church mouse, will easy house the largest of watches and is configurable to operate in a variety of ways to accommodate nearly any movement. It will easily spin my TAG Aquaracer, which is pretty thick and weighs in at nearly 8 ounces. A nice touch is that the lid is held open with a detente and a light spring. A nice touch. It does all of these things very very well. These are the Pros. Now the Cons. I hate to say this, but I don't care for the leather. I would have preferred a nice lacquer finish. The other con is that the pillow is small and is too small to accommodate my band, which is about 8 1/4". Considering how well made the entire unit is, the pillow looks and feels a bit like an afterthought. I was able to get around this by cutting an old sock and putting it behind the watch before securing it.It was enough to knock off a star, but not enough that I wouldn't buy or recommend it. It is still a great value and is very well made. Except for the pillow.

A terrific watch winder with unbelievable service!!!
This watch winder is compact, cordless, & absolutely silent. We have not had to replace the batteries in the almost two years it has been in nightly use. Recently we inquired if we could purchase a replacement cover for the watch holder as the velvet sides had come loose. Even though our purchase had been 22 months prior, we were told a replacement would be sent free of charge by mail the following day! That demonstrates outstanding service on an outstanding product, which has proved to be much superior to our previous more expensive unit. Many thanks to Cart Wheel Deals!!

Heiden Battery Powered Single Watch Winder- If you are looking for an exceptional watch winder, you found it.
There are a lot of watch winders out there. Do your research. I was looking for a well built watch winder for my Rolex GMT II. I needed to make sure that the winder could go both directions and could be set to 650 rotations a day. I was floored when this showed up at my door. It comes in a nice silk bag, then a cushioned box and then the shipping box, very well packed. I removed it from the box and bag and was very impressed with the quality of this product. Three different rotation settings, three different times of rotations, and battery and electric plug in adapter. Pretty much silent when running. The best part is the on/off button on the face where the watch sits, so no having to fumble with switches on the backside. Sweet Watch winder.

Great But Huge
This watch winder is HUGE! Read the dimensions before you buy. If you're expecting something the size of a watch box to arrive, you will be as baffled as we were when a box the size of a Volkswagen is delivered. That being said, the winder is very high quality and the intended recipient loves it. He also reports that it works great . . . and he's French. If you know how hard it is to please a French person, then you know this winder is good. Only giving it 4 stars due to it's enormous size, but I should have read the product info.
