Our whole house now has internet service!
We changed servers, so needed to update and buy our own router system. The new server company rep approved of this choice. It is awesome to get service throughout the house, the yard, and the garage. We often have software designers stay here. They go to Yellowstone on the weekend and then work from here during the week. There has not been one complaint about the internet since we changed over.

Easier than pi
Saying it only took 5 minutes to set this up would be 3 minutes longer than it took. No complaints at all.

Low signal output
Bought two to add to my system can’t get signal 20 feet away. Also can’t get a signal through 2 windows 30 feet apart (house to garage). Wouldn’t buy again.

Terrible
I used these velops for several years. I had 4 of them to try and make the signal better. I could not get them to connect well and they constantly dropped the internet and I had to restart multiple times a week. The mobile app is frustrating and confusing and I work in IT. I do not recommend these

Was expensive when i got this a few years ago so I'm stuck with it.
It drops its connection so often. Multiple times a day. Daily. It was a few hundred dollars when it first came out so I'm unfortunately stuck with it. Avoid any mesh systems by linksys.

Velop Unstable Connection - There is so many problems with this products
WARNING TO ANYONE WHO WANT TO BUY THIS PRODUCTPlease, don't do wha ti have done. Just google Velop Connectivity Issues and you will read tons of stories like mine. This is a very very very bad product.I should have look at the support forums before buying this product. It's insane the amount of problem and stabilities issues this product have.CURRENT SETUP >3x Velop Tri-Band AC6600 and2x Velop Tri-Band AC4400MAIN INTERNET >Fiber 1GBPS Upstream and DownstreamSPEED >When it work...- Computer A in Wifi to Node 1 (10 feets) - 350 mpbs- Computer B in Wifi to Node 1 (20 feets) - 300 mpbs- Computer C connected with Ethernet Cable in Node 2 : 200 mbps- Computer C via Wifi to Node 2 : 150 Mbps- Computer D connected with the Ethernet Cable in Node 4 - 100 mbpsMAIN ISSUESConnectivity and Stability issuesExtremely inconsistency in speed and quality of signal- Overall System simply goes down. All node stop working. (Red)- When a computer use the internet for some time, the node connected to it goes down- One test will give 200 mbps and 5 minutes after, the same test will give 5 mbps without moving an inch- Overall tablet and mobile device have the most important variation in speed in a day even if they stay in the exact same locationsLAYOUT >2nd Floor:- Node 1 - Velop connected to the main Internet- Node 2 - Velop in the office 20 feets away1st Floor- Node 3 - Velop connected right below the 2nd floor oneBasement- Node 4 - Velop connected about 30 feet from the 1st FloorNode 5 is offline as a backup in case one node break. Since I work and stream from home, it is a very big deal when internet don't work. Smiley HappyTHINGS I HAVE TRY- Having node 3 and 4 connect directly to the main- Having node 4 going via 3 and 3 via the main- Having the node 3 goint via 2 and the main- Having node 4 going via 2 and the main- Replacing any node wiht my backup node- Replacing the main hub with another node- Waiting for 1h and a half on the Linksys phone line- Sending them email via the mobile app supportI think that, at the core, when Node 2 cannot have a decents connection 20 feets away, it's pretty much a waste of time to try to do anything else with the rest of the setup.ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT- We had an Airport before and never had a single connectivity issues in 4 years.- We don't live in a nuclear powerplant or a magnetic factory- We don't live in a Faraday cage- There is no triple wall or any special wall between any of the nodes- We have both Windows and Mac, all with the latest OS and patchs. Obviously, since it's the node, the issues happen on every device.NUMBER OF DEVICESWe have about 16 devices (Computer, Phone, Apple TV, Apple Watch and iPad)Peak usage is about 4 to 6 devices at the same time.

Not stable connection, but tech support is not bad at all
Connection is not stable. Updates from Linksys making the mesh loosing signal about every hour, sometimes cannot reconnect for hours, really troubling me during work. I have to use my mobile data. I would not recommend this product, highly overpriced and unreliable. Will never buy it again. Over all this product is just very expensive garbage. You can find a much better deal and get a better product for a fracture of the price.Update: Marth 2023Tech support appears to be on top... with latest update from Linksys the issue was resolved fast and painlessly and now the Mesh works as a charm. So it is still an expensive equipment, but NOT a garbage at all, actually it's working very good and if consistent, then it worth the price.

Solid, seamless signal
We have a 4,000 square foot rancher. The primary node is set up next to the router at one end of the house. Signal strength here is perfect and WiFi connection speed is the same as my Ethernet connection. The secondary node is located in the middle of the house and the signal strength is rock solid, though connection speed is about half. At the far end of the house, signal strength is still perfect, but speed is about 1/6th. Still acceptable for an iPad or iPhone. Without the Velop system, signal strength and speed at that end of the house were virtually zero.Set up was easy, but the app did not allow for diagnosing problems. In my case, when I first tried to connect the primary node, it simply failed. Fortunately, I realized my router’s firewall setting was too strict. Once I tweaked that, set up was a breeze. My only complaint is the work-around I needed for my network printer. The printer is connected by Ethernet cable to my router, so I can’t use the Velop system for WiFi printing. I could connect it directly to my primary Velop node, but then there wouldn’t be a spare Ethernet connection to connect my primary computer for printer access. Kind of a pain, but not enough to dock one star from my rating.Overall, an excellent system.

Not as impressive as it might be and terribly over packaged.
Overall, I am reasonably happy with Velop Mesh. I bought 4 nodes for my 3 floor, 3,000 sq ft house thinking that I was going to be over configured only to find that I barely have enough nodes. There are still weak spots in my home even though the nodes are distributed on all three floors and two of them are hard wired to the main node through a switch. We do get acceptable connections, but definitely less than we imagined when we purchased the 4 nodes. One other issue is the packaging that the nodes come in. The boxes are really nice and they ensure that the units don't get damaged during delivery, but wow, are they over-built. They use a premium quality shiny cardboard for the main box shape, but it has high density foam GLUED to it everywhere for shock absorbtion. Even the inner boxes for the sub-components like the electrical wiring and the installation CD are foamed up. The trays for the components are plastic. These days there is no need for multiple materials in packaging. Apple and Microsoft use premium packaging for their notebook computers but it is ALL recyclable cardboard.

Solved my Wifi problems!
When I moved to my new home, I had a hard time getting a signal in various areas of the house due to the walls and I guess my ISP's modem/router was only good for small condo-sized homes without lots of walls. I bought the 2-pack Velop nodes and the installation was super easy, via the Linksys app. It's easy to follow and set up and has lots of neat features such as device controls and you can even assign Usage times for specific devies (if you got kids, this is great!) I did not give it 5 stars because when I went to install the 2nd node, it did not work at all and couldn't connect. I had to wait another week to ship it back to Linksys who did a warranty swap for me.Great customer service, but I've read that is rather common to have faulty Velop nodes. Once I received the replaced node, it worked like a charm and now I get great speeds and haven't had wifi issues. Other than that, this is a great product and well worth the money.
