Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie: Over the Rainbow [Blu-ray]

First, I also bought and watched the actual series, Seasons 1 & 2. Excellent, just like this movie!The MC is a high school girl who dreamed of going to nationals in an idol singing group, and winning it all!Well, this is such a wonderful, fun, and dramatic story of just that. Her seniors help her, and she becomes part of their group. However, they don't win the big one, and her seniors (senpai) are graduating. So the following school year she's a Senior and it's the last chance to win nationals for her and her fellow idols (before they all graduate). Yes, they stumble, crumble. But, do they have what it takes?Good music, drama, fun, tension, and you get to cheer these girls on!(If you find you really like this movie, then buy the series, just as good!)

If you're an Aqours fan, you will cry at the end.

I waited a extra year for the dub and was not disappointed. The movie comes with a random Shiki with one of the girls of Aqours. I got Yoshiko. Also comes with a digital copy so you can use with the funimation app. You don't need to pay for the service to redeem the code. So I am extremely satisfied with the dub script thanks to Kristen McGuire. So if you want the sub or dub of this movie you get your money's worth.

the music is really good. Hop Stop Nonstop is one of my fav songs from the movie. I wish Saint Snow was in it some more though.

While the movie isn't the best movie I've ever seen, in the realm of anime movies that follow a series it's solid and its pretty good. I loved the Love Live Sunshine series and the characters are all great. My list from favorite to least favorite is: Kanan, I just absolutely love her and her character is great, she is also the prettiest of them all and her eyes are just perfect. Second is Hanamaru who because I'm a country boy had a special love for her. Third is You who was just a very personable likeable person. Fourth is Yohane! This one shocked me because she at the beginning of the series I felt I would hate because they made her appear to be the equivalent of Nico, but I actually grew to really like her and even though she is eccentric, she was not annoying. Fifth is Riko who at the beginning of the series was one of my favorite and she didn't slip down to 5 because of getting worse, but because everyone else was just so much better. Sixth is Mari which is another surprise because I did not really like her at first mainly because it seemed like she was going to be a carbon copy of Nozomi(who I loved by the way), which was just a problem because I didn't want to see someone exactly the same, and while they have the same "free spirit" personality, Mari set herself apart and managed to become a very likeable character and I actually feel like I want to rank her higher. Seventh is Ruby who really improved throughout the series and I can't say anything negative about her, she is just not as great as everyone else. Eighth is Chika who is not bad either, but she is basically a carbon copy of Honoka, and even though I loved Honoka and she was great, Chika just being exactly the same as Honoka made her seem cheap. So I loved Honoka and I really like Chika. Ninth would be Dia(if you love Dia don't jump on me). Dia is not bad at all, and I do love her, but her personality to me personally is the most unappealing. The music in the movie isn't my favorite, with the exception that my favorite song of theirs is in it, Kiseki Hikaru. That song is the most beautiful song I've ever heard. Other songs to check out of theirs is Thank You Friends, Deep Resonance(get ready to be blown away by Yohane's vocals), Omoiyo hitotsuninare(which is in the series), and Daydream Warrior(for an upbeat electrifying song). They have a good many of good songs, in particular they have some very beautiful songs with their harmonies, but they have some decent upbeat songs even though I prefer Muse's upbeat songs mainly because Aqours has too much techno and music that the sound doesn't gel with me.

After a whole year I've been waiting for this film to come out on physical media, I finally got to see this and I enjoyed it. It was the last time we seen Aqours, but was a great way to end it off.

Its a great way to finish the story of Aqours!

The Blu-ray got here super fast which is nice and the package was safely delivered. The movie is absolutely gorgeous, the songs are wonderful, this was a great way to send off Aqours.However, my one big complaint is the “digital copy” is non existent. Mainly because Funimation has a God awful website and app which is impossible to actually register with, which is damn shame. I wanted to be able to watch this movie on my next trip to Japan, hell I would buy the digital copy if I could. So yeah, Funimation really needs to get that in order, just keeps this in mind when you get this movie.

So, yes, this is watchable if you have a UK Blu-Ray player. Yousoro!

I bought this movie for Christmas for my best friend because our first time watching it was together in theaters! Amazing movie for sure!I loved it alot. Will update this to say wich shikishi she got once she opens it!
