Hicarer Silver Dollar Coin Case Holder 40 mm Round Plastic Clear Coin Capsules Case for Coins Collectors

I ordered these because they were advertised for Morgan/Peace dollars. They will work for this if you do not want a good fit. They will work for some of the silver rounds with a good fit. The Morgan dollars rattle around in them. I suppose that it still protects them. I ordered these because I have used the same brand for Silver Eagles and they were perfect. These are not designed for Silver Eagles and the advertising states that they ARE NOT for Silver Eagles.

I purchased this 100-pack of 40 mm challenge coin capsules to protect my challenge coin collection. They come in a simple box, with the capsules bundled in sealed plastic. The capsules fit together tightly and can be challenging to pull apart. That's a good thing, though, because it means the coins will be secure inside them and won't accidentally come out. Along the edge of the capsules, there is a half-circle indentation for pulling them apart, which is essential to find. It isn't easy to find, which would be a negative because it makes it harder to open when you want to, but, to me, it's more of a positive because you don't see the indentation when you or someone else is admiring your collection.As to the size, there were many coins in my collection that didn't fit because they were slightly larger in diameter or, infrequently, wider than the capsules. There are some of my coins that were smaller than the capsules, but I still used these capsules for them. They don't look as good, but it's better that they are protected.Side note: I wear gloves when handling my coins and when putting them into the capsules because it defeats the protection of the case if you get your hand's oils on the coins before putting them safely in the capsules. I didn't do so with the first challenge coins I was given 18 years ago, and they have since deteriorated, which is a shame.For the standard-sized 40 mm challenge coins that these capsules are designed for, they work perfectly. I didn't find any flaws with them, and they're a great value for the money. I highly recommend them. 5/5 stars

I ordered these as a less expensive alternative for the "air-t***" brand (which I have purchased in the past). These are a much less expensive item ($15 vs $45) and worth every penny!! First - the not so good... They have noticeable areas in each holder where they were separated from the sprue during manufacturing...and they are (as others have stated) not as air-tight as the alternate brand. I did try dropping a couple and they did not fall apart (4 feet onto a wooden floor).The good - They are very inexpensive! The shipping box is also very handy for storing the holders. They are crystal clear, no scratches on any of the 100 in the box. The little cut-out for removing the two halves is awesome and much safer than "using a sharp kitchen knife to pry the two pieces apart". The size fits both standard (current) chips as well as those that are a hair larger than 39mm (ie Chipco and some older chips which are about 40mm). They are the same external dimensions as their more expensive competitor.So - I intend on purchasing several more of these packages - I enjoy being able to look at my collection without worrying about any wear or damage. Only thing that would be perfect would be the ability to get a couple of the boxes these ship in (empty) to store my other encapsulated chips in.Bottom line - Five Stars - no question or doubt - especially when it comes to storing and protecting casino chips. I only wish I would have discovered these a couple of years ago.

The media could not be loaded.  Fast delivery, clear quality product. One of the reasons I chose this product was the Fine Sealing claim. They fit together nicely but do not snap together securely.

These cases are okay...true size and clear plastic. And the two halves stay together. But unlike others, there is no ridge (the slight protrusion along the edge of the case that you use to pull the two pieces apart). This makes it more difficult to separate the two parts. Also, the molding process leaves a slight rough spot along the edge. It's not visible but can be felt when holding the case. For the price, they are still a good value.

These are okay and they work. However, they can be reopened easily (this may be good for some people or some instances so if you want some that can be reopened more easily then these are for you). They don't just fall apart or come apart on their own, but with a little twist and a pull then open up. This is the reason for the 3 stars. Thus, they don't have the feel of being snapped shut and permanent, air tight like some of the other coin holders I've used. So for long term or permanent use I would pick a different holder. For shorter term, basic protection, just selling coins or giving them as gifts these would be just fine.Advantage for me: Plastic and they work for the intended purposeDisadvantage for me: Not as air-tight as others and are more easily opened, not a permanent type closure.

Seem to be the lowest price for coin holders that I have come across that ships inside the U. S. The cases are well made, clear, and are actually 40mm. I'm happy with my purchase and I used them to hold my Eisenhower dollars and Kennedy half dollars (I'm going to cut some foam to insert into the holder so the coins won't slide around).

Was pleasantly surprised after getting these. they fit 40mm coins perfectly and are tight but not so tight you cannot get them back open again. the little indent for getting to the two halves apart is just big enough to allow you without being an eye sore when enjoying viewing of the coins

it arrived really soon. a couple cases from the pack were broken / looking milky but it is worthy anyway.

Produit parfaitement conforme mais je n'ai reçu que 99 capsules et non 100... Si cela ne reste qu'une capsule en moins et ce n'est pas grand chose mais le problème est que j'avais 100 éléments à protéger avec ces capsules! Je vais donc devoir à terme en recommander et me retrouver avec X capsules surnuméraires... Un point de détail, mais toujours gênant. 4/5
