Collected Essays of Joseph Murphy (Mentors of New Thought) Paperback – January 1, 1987

It appears that the essays were once published as booklets. This was common practice in the 1950s-1970s. The essays are potent expositions of Dr. Murphy's mastery of Divine Science and Religious Science, having been a minister in each of these New Thought religions. I love his use of language: colorful, descriptive, yet always "to the point." Before Dr. Murphy became a minister, he was a pharmacist in New York (a chemist in England, also), and his scientific training and observation served him well in sizing up people and common problems of humanity. Later, possibly in the 1940s, Dr. Murphy earned the Ph.D. in psychology at the University of California. Many years' experience as a counselor, along with his clinical training, were put to good use as can be witnessed in each essay. I often read or listen (audiobook) to Dr. Murphy because of his strong presentation of New Thought principles. Enjoy him again!

I've found Joseph Murphy to be an inspiration for decades- as a person, preacher/teacher, author, etc.His writing style though simplistic- packed with timeless wisdom for all.Anyone who enjoys his perspective will consider this book a keeper- a referral for various stages of the "human condition."

I have enjoyed everything this author has written. It is easy to read and easy to understand. One of my favorite spiritual author.

I go back to this book everytime I need a boost. Whether it's relationships, money, stress, or health, Dr. Murphy addresses it with a short essay that will inspire.

i read many books by this author and was very pleased to see all those essays almost impossible to find nowadays united in one book. I only had wished to have an intro about the story of these writings and a bio of Murphy
