Definitely not heavy duty, the dogs scratch them and bite through it but they last 6 months - for the old pups they have lasted longer -I am very pleased with the product - and they have become part of our family we will keep buying and keep it - this brand has been able to last longer than the other brands and I am telling the pups jump on top, fight on top of them and the structure remains as the bed - of course after a long run of bites, scratches and pulls they go down but I am telling from all I have tried in a real point of life for my budget and pups - this has been the longest one, best price and they love it. I will just add the following - I have 11 rescues mostly Labradors retrievers from 1 year old to 12 years old...the younger pups are the ones who bite, scratch, jump etc...two in particular have a lot of anxiety and without teaching them to control the anxiety and to respect the bed no bed will last less than 1 hour, unsupervised just let it be without education there will be no toy, blanket, sofa, or bed that lasts....and leaving the beds to outside rain and sun- runs the beds of life too...I have tried so many brands - so far the only one keeping up with the training and the pups diverse personalities is this one. Of course I have to put some behavioral control points otherwise I will be buying beds every other day....goes with toys, food bowl, furniture, etc. And on the months the pups are in the teeth phase you need to add behavioral control points - and get the special toys to remove the attention toward the beds, furniture, etc....the thing I love more about this beds - it is the structure - does not go funny and i don't have to be jumping to fix the structure and the dogs can go on them trusting it will not jump something - plus they really love the beds....as the other brands they go by themselves and prefer to be more on this beds than the furniture....they are fresh too!!

We have about 16 of these beds, we keep the covers in stock because the dogs sometimes chew them. They are not chew proof but we only have to replace them about every other month so they work fine for us. Dogs love them and so do we, easy to clean and care more.

We bought this over a year or so ago and were concerned bc it wasn't like the original and didn't feel/look like the same material but we finally tried it out and our 60 lb active dog is fine with it. He sleeps on it (lol he likes to scratch around before he finally gets comfortable on it) Very durable material...👍👍s up!

I bought this for my lab a few years ago and love that I can find the replacement mat without having to buy the hardware again and again. Love this dog bed 1000%, highly recommend it!

One very active pitbull managed to finally destroy the original bed but it took her three years to do so. This new cover fit perfectly and if it lasts three years, it will be a blessing. Our pit destroyed every other form of bed in short order, this bed I highly recommend for super active (and heavy) dogs.

I have 3 chewer’s so I appreciate being able to buy replacement covers. These are durable and I highly recommend them.

They are very durable and last a good while. I have a dog that won't lay on a regular dog bed. (Huskies are special). But she will sleep on a coolaroo.

my dogs (2x collies, 1x retriever cross) love their coolaroo beds. They are comfortable, cool and don't smell. They are often very muddy and the mud dries then falls through the bed as a dust, where it can be hoovered up easily. This one is a nice bright colour (previous versions were back and green). My only complaint is that these covers last for a year (almost to the day) before stretching and developing holes. Still, the replacement covers are good value and it means that the bed has lasted significantly longer (3 years) than any other dog beds we've had.

This is the second replacement cover I have had now and this one is as good as all the others ,a perfect fit and looks well made.Our dog is eleven years old so on average they will last three to for years I would like to guess.

Fantastic value- our last cover has lasted around 4 years - it’s still ok but has “sagged” a little so thought we’d buy a new one as the frame is still great. Hopefully this cover will last just as long.

These are the best beds ever for our collies. They can get on them wet and muddy and get off a bit later dry and relatively mud free.

Was not medium when opened the packet. I had ordered a spare just in case so had for a few months. When time to replace the cover, it turned out to be large had to cable tie in to old torn cover and hope it will do the job until I get another bed
