Inessential, but still entertaining.
Halo Wars: Genesis is an entertaining-enough comic prequel to the “Halo Wars” video game, one that – at a brief 46 pages – doesn’t have much time to do much more than lay the groundwork for the plot in the game. That’s not necessarily a huge knock against it, since a.) it’s written by Eric Nylund, for my money the best “Halo” writer out there, and b.) the art is by master extraordinaire Phil Noto, who bequeaths every page with his signature cel-shaded style.Bottom line: if you don’t read this before you play the game, you’ll be fine – it’s not essential reading. However, if you DO read it – and you happen to be a “Halo” super fan – it’s hard to imagine you feeling disappointed for taking the 10-15 minutes to check out what Nylund and Noto have cooked up here.

Great art!
Bought this to backfill my Halo book collection. The character cards are well designed and an extra treat to go with the book.

Halo Wars Genesis
It is a great item. It comes with the book, emblem, and character cards (no game). Since i don't want to play the game, this is a right choice
