I needed a clip that would work on a 1 1/4" thick tile roof. Although these are designed to work on tiles up to 1" thick, they did work, and worked well, on a thicker tile. None of them broke while stressing them. None of them fell off for the month that my Christmas lights were up.They are very versatile and attach securely to rain gutters, tiles (as mentioned), and sheet metal edge guard that is tight to wood facia.

This seems like the best clips for our situation. I would’ve preferred a clip that would show the light sideways, but those clips broke after the 1st 1-2 years (I wish I remembered what brand; I only remember that they were green). We’ve used these for going-on 4 years and some have broken but not to the extent of the other kind. These clips slide under the roof and the lightbulbs point either up or down.

They work well and are easier to put in the shingles then other clips.

Love these bad boys. Ended up having to snag 200 of these last minute as the other brand I used last Christmas all fell apart (I also left them up year round- whoops). Anyway, these things are perfect. Slide right in and clip to my C9s snuggly. I’d recommend wearing work gloves to save your fingers when pressing a ton of bulbs. Only snapped a couple during install. Get these today!

I bought these clips in January of this year to put up some C9 lights around the pool. Very easy to hook onto the gutters and they hold the lights in place wonderfully. But lately the backing clip is breaking off a number of them and I wind up having to replace them. I don't know if it's due to being in the Florida heat now or just wearing out due to pressure from clipping onto the gutter. They seem to be very brittle as I replace them. Over all, I love these clips and just wish they would last longer.

I wanted to hang C6 LEDs on my wood privacy fence and did not care if they were pointed haphazardly so they were perfect for me. These are meant to hold larger lights at right angles to the mounting surface (standing straight up along a roofline) so if you use them on a vertical surface the tops of the bulbs will be pointing straight out. You may not want that. They were big enough to fit over the top of the pickets holding the cord in place so I didn't even use the bulb holder part. The lights themselves point every which way. I'm fine with that.I did use binder clips at the beginning and end of each string of lights and the corners and other areas that needed a strong hold. These clips may very well have been sturdy enough but I do not intend to fiddle with them if something cuts loose.They may not last more than a year but that's OK. I do plan to remove them on a warmer day so they're not overly brittle.Update: They were up from before Thanksgiving to mid-January and not one broke. I did take them off on a day above freezing and I was careful but I see these lasting another couple of years.

These are made of a good quality plastic material and work exactly as described. I would buy again but I don't think I will need to for some time, these should last us a while.

These clips are the BEST! I feel like a professional after using them to put up perfectly straight lights! They easily slid onto the gutter and were easy to attach the lights to as well. I definitely recommend these clips!
