DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!!! This is the second replacement charger I have purchased for my daughter’s fire tablet & it is junk!! The other one I purchased was junk also!! Im so disappointed because I am a frequent amazon customer & Im usually thrilled with everything I have received!! Both chargers become loose & just fall out of the port so they dont charge the tablet properly!! Beyond frustrated that I cant seem to find a working charger!! The original charger that comes with the tablets works great but kids lose things & I couldnt find the original one that comes with the tablet for sale!!

Update 8/2/2021: I am still using this charger to charge my Kindle. It works flawlessly and charges my Kindle the first time every time.I have an older Kindle Paperwhite (no idea what generation it is, but it's at least 4 years old). I lost the original cord somewhere in our apartment. We searched high and low but did not find it. I went on Amazon looking for a Kindle Paperwhite cord and I found this one with a decent rating. I thought it was a Kindle branded cord but it's not.I am not disappointed in this cord even though it's not a genuine Kindle cord. The cord has been very reliable, fits in my Kindle Paperwhite charging port tightly, charges completely every time, and the cord fits tightly into the charging brick adapter.This charger comes with two pieces. The first piece is the charging brick adapter that you plug the USB cord into. The other piece is the 6 and a half foot cord that is USB on one end and Kindle compatible on the other end. I cannot say whether or not this cord works with newer Kindles because I don't have a newer Kindle to test it with.The charger I ordered is black in color. In hindsight since my Kindle Paperwhite is white I should have ordered the white charger but it's not a huge deal. The charger performs consistently well even when I charge my Kindle every two to three days because I do a lot of reading.This cord can be plugged into any standard electrical outlet using the charging brick adapter, or you can use just the USB cord and plug your Kindle into your computer. I use the cord to transfer books to my Kindle from my computer on a regular basis because I don't have Wi Fi for my Kindle.If you lost your original Kindle charger like I did, this is a solid replacement charger with a decent cord length, high performance, a tight connection, and a decent charging rate.

What I mean by "Tricky use of 6.5 Ft. Compatible" is that there are No cords included -- you use your own cords if you have them. Wouldn't it then be compatible with any length cord? Why put in their product description 6.5 Ft. except to give the customer the misleading idea that the cords are included -- so I feel tricked, scammed. They even show the cords in their product picture!! Buyer beware.

I was on my third Kindle that wouldn’t charge. I was about to throw it away and never buy one again, but I took a chance on this cord. It worked like a charm, plus it charges very, very fastHighly recommend it.

I have been trying to find a charger for my 6" Kindle with no answer ** Finally Amazon to the rescue ** I just asked Amazon "I need a charger for my 6" Kindle?" They took me right to what I needed !! After many tears & frustrating moments ** There it was at my door in just a few days. I put it in my 6" Kindle & it was a perfect match !!! Great Price & perfect cord length !!! Try it *** Amazon is perfect in everyway ** Ty Amazon !!!

It said it fit Kindle Paperwhite. I wanted a long cord so I could plug it in while reading, if needed. However it doesn't fit my kindle. I am too afraid to shove it in.....

I bought this charger because somehow I lost both the charger cords for my Kindle (which is really old ) and my Fire table too. I order this praying that it would work for both and it did. I was even sure my kindle would still work because it so old, but it works perfectly. I super happy with my purchase.

Nothing to like, new my cord doesn’t seat itself in completely in charger nor the cord in my Kindle Fire 2018. My Ereader comes tomorrow. So will try them on it if the cord doesn’t fit properly in reader will return it. I picked these too items because Amazon recommended it. Finding lighting cords that Kindle uses is a problem the last year. Bought the charger for correct watts.
