Really easy way to get the top off with just one person. I can get the whole top off in just a few minutes. I'm very happy with it.There is only one contact point between the wire rope and the part that holds the top, so it does swing around a little bit. If you balance it correctly (the instructions explain this) it'll eventually settle into a good position.The video instructions are pretty bad, and there are at least three ways to install it, so you might want to make sure you or someone else knows roughly how a system like this should work. The installation took me a few evenings and a few trips to the hardware store.I have the winch mounted on the wall, so I wasn't able to use the automatic stopper to prevent it from raising too high. It looks like the winch would just keep pulling and possibly damage the installation if pressed the button to raise it too much.

Do not purchase a Lange hoist. Poor quality product and even worse customer service. The hoist I purchased didn't last half of a summer and broke, trying to get a warranty replacement has been a nightmare.
