A funny happy book with a funny happy ending!! Silly in the best way!! A great read for all in the family!! I highly recommend...

Came across this title completely at random - a delightful relaxing read full to the brim with giggles. Beyond the humor I found myself really caring for the characters and rooting for them on their journeys to greater awesomeness. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about it - just a lovely cupcake of a book. Looking forward to reading the others in the series!

Tales of Pell book 3 is light and humorous. This book gives us another fantasy motley crew including a pirate princess, elf and a wizard centaur. They serve up justice, puns and a lot of pastries.

This is a light YA novel. It has many tongue in cheek references while it is supportive of people finding their own way even when others oppose their path to self understanding and acceptance.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE these books! I find other books BASED OFF of how they compare to this one and the others. If you like this Genre you will get lost in this one.

Loved the disparate characters and the thoughtful core of the story as well as the comedy.

The author can be quite punny with a bit of wit. Easy read because I enjoyed it so much. Book 2 of 3

Wieso die Prinzessin so lange geschlafen hat, nachdem sie sich an einer Rose gestochen hatte, weiß sie nicht - wohl aber, dass ihr Vater sie mit jemanden verheiraten wollte, den sie nicht ausstehen kann. Also nutzt sie ihr deutlich verändertes Aussehen und eine gut bestückte Reisetasche um sich aus dem Staub zu machen.Auf den Weiden der Zentauren wurde Vic immer belächelt, weswegen er in die große Stadt ging um dem zu entgehen. Aber durch Machogehabe kaum verdecktes mangelndes Selbstbewußtsein wird auch in urbanen Umfeld schnell erkannt.Tempest und ihre beiden Dryadenschwestern sind durch einen pro-bono wirkenden Anwalt aus jahrelanger Sklaverei entkommen und nun möchte Tempest selbst ein so hilfreiche Anwältin werden - benötigt allerdings ein Schiff um zu einer passenden Universität zu kommen.Ein eher unelfenhaft wirkender elfischer Touristenführer hat von seinem Job genug und möchte gerne in einer geradezu heiligen Bibliothek arbeiten - wozu auch er übers Wasser muss.All diese Charaktere finden sich in der gleichen Hafenstadt, in der der Kapitän der Puffy Peach neue Mannschaftsmitglieder sucht, die er auch gern anlernen möchte. Und so sind die vier Reisenden auf einmal Piraten in Ausbildung.Selten habe ich so einen nerdigen Fantasy-Roman gelesen. Die Anspielungen laufen über 'Dornröschen' zu 'Sindbad, dem Seefahrer', von 'Hogwarts' nach Tattoine, von 'MacGyver' zu McGuffin und noch weit über all das hinaus. Dazu gibt es Kapitalismuskritik, Umwelt-und Naturschutz, große Freundschaften und die Suche nach sich selbst. Und Otter und Flamingos.In der Mitte wird das Nerdgewitter ein wenig dick für meinen Geschmack, aber das letzte Viertel läßt das weitestgehend vergessen. Zu empfehlen.

Read this book as the last of the series (so far) and enjoy an amazing adventure of humans, elves, a dryad, an otter, a parrot and … The references and the wordplay are truly hilarious. If you need hours of entertainment at its best, this is the book.
