I had to do a complete rear brake job on my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 and found the driver side moved up and down when testing out the axle for movement. So I purchased a bearing and seal from elsewhere to get the job done. I don't know why I didn't think about it sooner but at the time I didn't realize I had to drain the differential and take it apart to get the axles out. Couple that with the fact that I got the WRONG bearing (I ordered the front end bearing, not rear...doh!), I decided I might as well do both sides at the same time and get it over with. I ordered this seal since it would arrive in two days for free. When it came time to replace, this one went right in and after looking at it days later after the job was complete and some miles put on it, there are no leaks at the seal to axle or from the seal housing to axle tube.
