I recently tried Ursa Major Essential Tonic, and I’m really impressed with how versatile it is. After I wash my face, I use it to tighten my pores and give my skin a fresh boost. It feels really refreshing and doesn’t irritate my skin at all. And the smell? It’s a nice, light herbal scent—not that harsh stuff some toners have.As a moisturizer, it’s super lightweight. I have combination skin, so I really love how quickly it soaks in without making me feel greasy. I can layer my other skincare on top without any issues.Overall, Ursa Major Essential Tonic has become a must-have in my routine. It simplifies everything while still delivering great results! I first purchased this toner/tonic in the travel size directly from the Ursa Major website because I didn't want to commit to a full bottle of something new. I was originally looking for an alcohol-free after shave that wouldn't sting, wasn't a gel or lotion, and didn't come in a bottle with an inefficient pump. I did a lot of browsing and product sampling, and this is the only toner that I'm writing a review about because it's the only one that satisfied all of those requirements and then some.Here's what I love about it:--Consistency: Because it's a liquid, it's absorbed super fast and doesn't leave *any* residue, or make you shiny like a lot of gel and lotion-based after shaves. Great for putting on before another product (like sunblock or a moisturizer).--Non-irritating: The first ingredient is aloe! This stuff is packed with good things for skin, plus it avoids alcohol, dyes, and extra fragrances (which my skin can't take after a shave without turning red or breaking out). When I first used it after shaving, I expected a sting. Nope! I'm also convinced that it helps razor bumps to disappear. There is a scent, but it's a faint woodsy-lemony one from the ingredients, and fades very quickly. The fact that it's so gentle is really what made me start to use it even on days when I'm not shaving.--Economical (really!): I use very little of this stuff at a time, and it still covers my whole face and under my chin. The 1oz travel version lasted me close to a month, and I used it twice a day, almost every day. Definitely worth it to me. They recommend using a cotton pad to apply the toner, but I just use my hands. That might have extended the life of the toner, because I imagine that a cotton pad would soak up some of what should end up on your face. You might get different mileage based on your own use.--Full Ingredient Disclosure: I'm a big fan of companies that share their entire ingredient list. A lot of them don't, which means that you're left guessing whether the product is actually going to do more harm than good, or whether you're being sold an overpriced version of a generic item. Maybe this toner isn't right for you, but at least you can read what's in it and be thoroughly informed before buying.-Nice Bottle: Okay, this is sort of less important, but still a factor. I'm really into the minimalistic, neutral look of the packaging. Lots of products out there have obnoxious labels or oddly-shaped glass bottles (um, glass in a bathroom? No, thanks). The Ursa Major packaging is gender neutral, comfortable to hold, and looks good on a shelf. Originally I thought the "Essential" title on the bottle was a little egotistical, but now it's rather apt considering how often I use the stuff.Overall, I'm extremely happy with this stuff. No, they don't pay me, and no, it isn't going to be for everyone. Simply put, I like it very much, and you might too.

At first I used this solely as a tonic after washing my face and it was great. But now I often skip the morning face wash altogether and just use this as a cleanser, followed by a mist of thermal spring water and let it air dry and proceed with the rest of my skincare. Easier, and leaves my skin clean and bright. I’ve been doing this for a few weeks and notice less redness the days after I’ve used retinol or exfoliants the night before. It’s just gentler, calms my skin and the bonus is it’s easier.

I've been using this for a bit over a year now and I really like it. I found it while searching for affordable face wipes, (which are not affordable),I use a cotton round with this. I love that it's a 4-in-1 product so I can skip using multiple products on my face, which makes life easier. I love the natural ingredient list/no nasty chemicals.I have normal to oily skin, so I don't need an moisturizers after using this.Added bonus: It's certified Leaping Bunny cruelty free which is HUGE for me since I have rescued house rabbits. 🐰=)

I first saw this on Instagram. Bought it through Ursa Major website. Amazon is faster and free shipping with Prime. I’ll never use any other toner. It feels good, it smells good.

Refreshing shpriz after cleaning or shaving - or in lieu of cleaning with separate products as this is an all in one preparation that cleanses and treats your skin, leaving it on to dry. It is is slightly astringent so it removes facial oils as well. it's a great all in one product.

This tonic works great for soothing and refreshing skin. I typically use it in the evenings either before bed, or as part of my post shave routine.It works best with the spray attachment but I believe they only send the sprayer when you order it directly through their website, going forward you can simply transfer the sprayer to the new bottles you buy from Amazon.What I like about this tonic is that it's very light and leaves zero residue, it's quickly absorbed into the skin. The scent is also light, and slightly herbal / woodsy. It simply feels great on my skin.Sometimes I apply their balm after the tonic has been fully absorbed but often I use the tonic by itself.Usra Major also sells some skin travel wipes which are essentially just pads that have been moistened with this tonic. If you like this tonic pick up some of the wipes for when you travel.
