I ordered this lamp to attach to the new bed I put in my son's bedroom. The old lamp didn't have a clip which opened wide enough for this. This tiny lamp is perfect and, to complement the whole thing, it came with a bulb! Perfect all around.

Superb clip light - much better than I thought it would be - excellent value for money.

Does what you would expect! Looks good. I changed the bulb because it was a very harsh white and I wanted something warmer but that was straightforward enough.

Lovely and sturdy, great colour for my daughters room. Bulb a little bright but hey least it was included and it depends on personal preference, once I convinced me daughter not to point bit straight I her face it was fine 😁 would by againm

Quick delivery, good protective packaging. Didn't expect the bulb to be included, so a bonus. Clip is easier to use than my previous one (different brand) which was very stiff. The switch is about 60cm from the lamp, cable I'd reckon just over a metre long. The bulb provided is quite white and bright, but unlike others I'd looked at, the shade covers the bulb sufficiently so it's not dazzling to be near. Mine is clipped onto a shelf above my printer in a dark corner of my office, and does the job perfectly so I can see what I'm doing with printer settings, replacing ink, etc. Great so far.

A good basic unit, that seems pretty robust. It has a good pivot to adjust the direction of the beam. Its switch is basic on/off - no dimming. The flex is standard two core and a bit on the short side in practice though adequate for my needs (reading in bed). It has a strong but not overwhelming clamp. I had it up and working in 5 minutes to write this review.In short, I got almost exactly what I wanted here at a good price and I am jolly pleased.However, before I ordered this, I carefully reviewed this site to establish that it was what I needed, but was confused by several responses to questions as well as others' reviews. So here are a few points I need to make as regards the questions with which I was left as it made its tortuous way to my home as regards their resolution when it arrived.1. It arrived with a functioning LED lightbulb. Maybe not all of them have and the listing says not. But I have one. The slightly erratic English on the box states - "Energy Efficient: LEDs, low power consumption, safety and environmentally friendly." But then again it also states - "Suit for E26/E27 light bulb (excluding bulb)." (nb this refers to the screw fitting not to bulb size). Maybe the manufacturer is unsure as well as the vendor?2. The lightbulb it arrived with was bright. That's good - I wanted a bright light, and wouldn't expect anything too specialist or any sort of mood lighting as basic.3. It's a small lightbulb, not one you would dangle from a ceiling, and just as the pictures suggest. The diameter of the surrounding "shade" is 9cm or, if you prefer, a tiny bit over three and a half of your ancient inches. Pretty standard with such units. Can't imagine why anyone would be surprised by this. My advice would be, if you need a light bulb, buy one after you receive the unit. Or if you are in a hurry and want both together, but are not sure of sizing, don't buy online.

OK the the bluish light it emits but having the switch half way the cable doesn't make any sense and enormously limits the locations you can place the lamp on. For example, you wouldn't be able to run it behind a couch or a set of shelves, as it'd be impossible to switch it off unless you can access the plug. The cable is also quite short: about 1 meter (?)
