I really enjoyed how Laurelei interwove history, mythology, and her own experiences with this Goddess. And she clearly describes many aspects of the worship of Aphrodite, covering both the why's and how's. She looks at both the light and dark sides of this complex Goddess, which I also appreciate. Overall, an excellent book, with resources and references for the interested reader to take further.
