Cheap and effective replacement for a right side trailer light
I think everybody on the planet who owns a boat or a trailer has backed a corner into an obstacle at some point in time. I am no exception and recently did just that.Looking at my options, to upgrade to LED style submersible lights was considerably more expensive and while they are brighter, they are no more impervious to breakage. So when I found this online and saw how little they cost, the decision was an easy one.Replacement was a very short and simple process. There are two bolts that mechanically attach the fixture to your trailer and there are two wires to electrically connect it. I used heat shrink and solder for the electrical connection for added reliability rather than depending on a crimp on butt joint that was likely prone to failure. I use my trailer in salt water so corrosion is also a consideration.Be aware there are different part numbers for the right and left tailight, though for the life of me I don't see why you couldn't just mount the opposite side upside down if you had two rights or two lefts. You should know that only the left one includes illumination for your license tag.

Good for the price, but not submersible
Cheap and simple replacement light. Had a bit of frustration installing as the bulb had not been properly seated from the factory. After testing the trailer wiring and determining that there was power, I pulled the lens cover off and found the bulb not fully twisted into place. Not a big deal but still less than perfect quality control. The light is also billed as submersible. Note that this does NOT mean sealed. The light has a drain hole in the back for water to exit, but I doubt it would last very long if you were submersing it in salt water. I put it on a simple utility trailer, but if you want a truly submersible light buy one that is sealed.

Don't last
These are not submersible and I have gone through many of these over past few years. They rust out, poor quality. Spend a bit more. I bought mine for under $6 they are currently listed over $17, insanity they are not worth $5 not to mention $17.

Perfect fit for my trailer
It's one of those mysteries of life... how did my tail light get busted? Well it happened to me. Somehow the whole side of my right tail light was torn off. Could not find the exact replacement. Looked on Amazon (I am a confirmed Amazon addict...) These lights fit perfectly into the steel tail light enclosure on a Gatormade Trailer. They actually look better and brighter than the OEM ones. The mount holes are standard on trailers now days. There are no issues so long as the light physically fits in the location the mount holes are pretty much standard. No complaints here. I bought the Left Wesbar 2523023 and the Right Wesbar 2523073. All together it was STILL cheaper to do this than buy a whole set at a local retailer that starts with W.

Seems like a great light
Seems like a great light. It was easy to install. But that could be because I keep backing into things with my trailer and have gotten allot of practice at it.Seriously....just match the wire colors and use some wire crimps and your set up. There isn't anything else to say about this product.

tail lights
These may be rated for underwater, but they are certainly not sesaled so they are waterproof. Water gets inside the light any time they are submersed in water. I haven't had the lights long enough to know how soon they will fail as a result of salt water incursion.

Works great, bolts are short.
The lights were super easy to install except that the bolts are too short for my trailer. I did a little "mcgiver" on them and everything worked fine after that. Used regular wire nuts on the connections and so far in fresh water they work fine after being submerged.

gladly surprised
This is an exact replacement. What I was gladly surprised to see was a pair of retaining nuts and a rubber gasket included in the blister pack.update: After removing the original damaged unit, I found this replacement to be better made: the side marker/signal lens is removable and there was a rubber lens gasket; both features which the original junk did not have- 6 stars.
