Best linker manual
The author Helen Sharp is a professional knitwear designer and teacher and has been working in the industry for over 40 years. Her expertise comes through in this comprehensive book on using the linker to finish your knitted garments. She covers making crew neck and V-neck band collars using a variety of techniques to get specific looks and then attaching them to sweaters. Also covered is making and attaching plaquets to cardigan fronts and options for integrating these with collars. Each technique has clear step-by-step explanations and each step is illustrated with diagrams and photographs so that you know what to look for along the way. Highly recommended for those wanting to take their knitting to the next level.

Buy this book!
When I opened the package from amazon and retrieved this book, initially I was disappointed. It is thin and smaller than I expected. I thought it was a rip-off - how could such a small book be worth $18? Well, after opening it and reading through the pages, I immediately changed my mind. This book will be a staple for me in my journey of learning more about making garments with my knitting machine. I don’t have a linked, but this book is about so much more than that. It features detailed steps with full color pictures and thoughtful explanations on how to get the best looking garments with your machine. I am so glad I purchased this book, and highly recommend it to anyone looking to take their skills to the next level.

Great Resource!
Incredibly helpful resource for linking knitwear. Helen is a fantastic instructor and I can hear her voice as I read the pages. All examples include both well-written instructions and clear illustrations so it is easy to follow the techniques. Helen provides directions for both linking with an actual (Hague) linker or using a knitting machine to achieve the similar results if you don't own a linker. This book should be in every machine knitter's library.

A basic starter guide, which I found very good to use
Easy to read & understand with colour photos. Good spacing between techniques making it easier to follow.

Great book about a very useful tool used by knitters!
This is a great book! IF you can use a linker to join knit pieces, go for it but read this book first as it will tell you how to do perfectly!

A must buy if you have a separate linker machine
Although the book is only 41 pages including glossary it is an extremely valuable resource for anyone who wants to get the most out of a separate linking machine (Hague, Belinky etc). Very clear instructions, including how to determine correct size to knit your neck given you will be joining on your linker. Covers basic trims, alternatives, v-necks, plackets and decorative uses for the linker. If a second edition is produced I think it would benefit from 1) the inclusion of how to knit v-neck trim with diagonal ends such that the ends butt together perfectly; 2) further information in final section linking without a linker to cover pulling live stitches through the work before joining or binding off.

Too basic, shows garments finished to very low standard
The word 'disappointed' doesn't even start to describe what I think about it. It's a flimsy 40 pages brochure that covers very basic operations anyone who has an instruction book can figure out themselves. The pictures are decent quality, but what is shown on them is made so badly, I can't believe anyone would wear the garment finished to that standard. Totally inadequate for £15 price.
