Picked up a pellet stove and diagnosed the igniter was bad, ordered this to replace the old which is the correct part. A little longer than the old one so it gets closer to the burn pot of faster ignitions. I should order another for backup in the future. Excellent quality, perfect fit and works great !

Have used a few over the years. Last 2-3 seasons for me.

The hex head size (where your wrench or socket goes) is not the same size as OEM that came with my Whitfield Profile 30. The OEM is 5/8" hex head and this one is 11/16". I modified a 5/8" deep socket to remove the failed OEM (after 15 years of service) and ordered this one for the price. Not sure if I want to sacrifice another deep socket, so this may be returned. Buyer beware.

I ordered this and installed it the other day in my Whitfield Profile 30-2. It is about 3/8” longer than the original, did not line up in the center, and takes up most of the opening of the funnel shaped ignitor housing at the burn basket. It lit the pellets slowly the first couple of times and on day two it no longer lights them.It arrived quickly and unscathed in an undamaged package.

UPDATE: I contacted the seller about the 1 year guarantee. They quickly responded and sent a replacement. Should arrive within a week. Changed from 1 star to 3 because of that. Will update again if the replacement works better than the first.Installation was pretty easy. Worked great for 3 weeks. Then burned out. Checked the resistance on the fuse and igniter wires. Fuse was fine. Igniter was not. Don't waste your money.

Saved my at least $80 over buying this part locally. Installation in my Whitfield was a little challenging if I didn't have the right allen wrenches and extensions for my 11mm socket driver to get the blower and the auger out of the way. Once this was done, just unthreading the old igniter and threading the new one in was a cinch. The wiring was straightforward with the blade connectors. Part was ordered on a Saturday and showed up in my mailbox on Thursday. Not bade for free shipping to Washington State.

A little challenging to install but not bad. Make sure you use anti seize when you mount it so you can get it out easy in the future if you have to do it again

It's shorter than the stock igniter in my Optima 3 pellet-stove, plus a 1/2" of the tip doesn't heat-up, and for these reasons, although it works, it takes 4 minutes instead of 3 to fire-up the pellets, and the initial flame is only about a third of what my original igniter started with, so it takes a bit longer to get to the full-burn stage...better than nothing, but not as good as the original (but then not many things are these days).
