Good Size for Small Arthritic Hands
I love the wood, it's beautiful and I will be hand washing to protect that as well as using a food safe oil. I have trouble finding kitchen tools that fit my hand with shorter handles. The length of this is perfect for me and the smaller circumference of the handle is great. A good buy and I recommend. I can't speak for how long it will last but I think with good care it should last a good length of time.

Odd Design
I ordered 2 12” spoons. They arrived yesterday so i haven’t had a chance to cook with them yet. However, i did notice that, as others have mentioned, they appear to be made in 2 pieces rather than carved from 1 piece of wood, which seems a little odd to me. The wood itself seems to be of good quality.

lovely spoon and strong
Olivewood is light and stiff and has a lovely grain. It is a hardwood and has very little flex in it, which is great for stirring stews, chili, and heavy batter. They are thick enough I trust they'll do most anything I ask. These spoons look to be 2 pieces- the handle is a simple dowel and the spoon is turned. The dowel is glued into the spoon/bowl. I don't know how long the glue will last, but if it separates it will be simple enough to re-glue. The wood is smooth and lightly finished. Over time I'll re-apply a drying oil of some kind to keep them sealed. All in all these look like a nice product and will make great utensils and great gifts.

Amazing! This is THE SPOON!
I ordered this spoon to round out my collection of wooden spoons and boy, has it ever! First, it is a beautiful bit of Olive wood craftsmanship, smooth, sturdy and ergonomically sound. Second, this spoon is the ideal size, fit and finish to store and sample a nice, steaming pot of tomato sauce while cooking Mother’s Sunday recipe. Last, this spoon has an uncanny way of motivating the unruly! But this spoon now! This is your next big win!!

People Compliment My Spoon
I like wood utensils. They won't damage pans, clean up easily and never ever melt. My set is old. I secreted it out of my mom's kitchen well over ten years ago. It was old then.I bought this spoon as part of a 4-for-3 deal. As a spoon, the Harold Imports Olive Wood Spoon is no better than my old beat up spoon. It stirs or scoops whatever I happen to be stirring or scooping. However, this spoon is also very pretty. It does not want to hide away in a drawer. So far, the spoon has washed up quite well. It lost one star for a small rough spot on the bowl of the spoon. After a quick sanding and mineral oil coat all was well.Like many wood spoons, the bowl is shallow. It doesn't work well as a ladle. I am looking forward to getting a beautiful new ladle.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE??? TERRIFIC QUALITY!!! EXCELLENT!!! BEAUTIFUL SPOON!!! BUY IT!!!
I've been looking for just a simple long spoon for stirring... I've had " My Favorite" for over 20 plus years & it was time to replace it. What a FANTASTIC SPOON!!! I just LOVE the extra long size. It's very sturdy & I've used it many times already. I hand wash & dry right away. Yes, you MUST OIL this spoon!!! After dry I just rub a tiny bit of olive oil or vegi oil & the beauty of the wood comes back even prettier. I've been cooking over 50 years & ALWAYS OILED my wooden spoons & NEVER let them soak in the sink & NEVER put in the dishwasher!!! It takes 20 seconds at most to wash & oil it. LOVE IT!!! Very well made...

Disappointed!
Ordered two of these spoons and returned them promptly! Both spoons were damaged, one had a small crack on the handle and the other had some unusual black/grey marks on the spoon. They almost appeared as if they had been used. I have seen some beautiful olive wood spoons in the past, and this is what I was expecting, quality -wise. Would not recommend this product.
