Owned sev.prs now. Mileage: 2x+ similar brands. Price: 50%< similar brands = these a GREAT BUY!
AdvRiding on all types and scales of pavement to gravel and trail. All types of conditions from hard to soft, sand to dirt, dry to wet and puddled. While these tires would benefit from the addition of more side-bite, there performance on my big bike is superb, for me. Quiet on the road. Good off the road. Capable in various conditions on both on/off road. What more can you ask for?

Love at First Burnout
First some background on myself: I ride a 2010 BMW F800 GS and I have over 650 miles on the tires (front and rear). I am not a professional nor highly experienced off roader. I do love everything ADV and I do try and push myself and better myself. So here is my take on this first set of knobbies on my bike (previously had Metzler Tourance). To me, they look really good. Gives the bike a much more aggressive looking stance (some may not care, but hey, I am a little vain and I care). Backing the bike out of the driveway I could already feel the vibration from the tires. I got on and went for a quick test ride and I could feel the handling had changed. The bike was more resistant to changing direction. I found that I needed to be a little more forceful with the steering inputs. Leaning in a little and the bike would resist and then after a certain point eagerly dropped in, which can scare you if you're not expecting it. At around 45mph you can hear the tires. They sound like a lifted Jeep Wrangler with off-road wheels driving down the highway. At higher speeds I don't really notice it because the wind noise and bike noise take over. These tires feel less forgiving when you don't have them properly inflated so make sure you maintain proper PSI. In the twisties, the bike seems the same. I can still dig down and get a pretty aggressive lean. I've never felt like the rear end was going to slide out. However, I have never scraped pegs on my bike. So just be easy until you know where the grip limits are for road use. Now for a dirt review; As soon as I put them on I hit up some trails and they felt good. So good that I noticed I was riding way faster than I was when I had my street bias tires. Sometimes the front would slip a little but it wasn't a lot and it hooked back up very quickly. Mud is still, well... mud. Does any tire have amazing traction in the mud? Overall I love the tires. The price is WAY better than the Heidenau TKC (tkc scout), which is why most people probably look at these comparable tires. I've taken them bike up mountain fire roads that have partially washed away, I've ridden on the pavement and then just dove off the side of the road into fields and hillsides and the tires just grip. I have not ridden in sand, but I will eventually. I need a little more skill to on the bike before I tackle some washes. If you are in need of some new knobbies for your adventure bike, give these a shot. So far they have been worth the money and have taken me to new places that I couldn't go before.

Great tire combo
I'm about 700 miles into this tire, so I can't comment on the longevity . . .but otherwise this tire is awesome.Depending on where you look/who you ask the tire is rated at like 50/50 or 60/40. The reality I've experienced has been more like 100/100 . . .that is, it works as well as any road tire I've had in touring and commuting situations . . . but it also works as well as off-road tires when off road. So here's the limitation: I have this tire mounted on an '06 klr650. So you know I'm not doing high-speed canyon carving, or 100 mph runs etc. Likewise, I'm not doing motocross tracks, 3 inch sand or mud, or extreme off-roading. The fact is that this tire ON A KLR650 will do anything that the bike is capable of doing, on-road or off.Today, I rode to an ATV/UTV off road area located 50 miles from the house. On the way there, I rode a combination of highway, by-way, and twisty roads. Once at the ATV/UTV park I road on rough single track, minor mud bogs, rocks, sand, grass. On the way back, I again road by-ways with some gravel/un-paved sections thrown in. And, as seems to be the case in Kansas in the summer, got hit by some rain. Not once during the day (total of 150 miles) did I wish for a different tire - I didn't even think about it, because the tire just worked across all those situations. When I first mounted the 804/805 combo, I was expecting tire buzz on the highway. . . .nope. In looser dirt, I was expecting the parallel knobs to cake up . . . nope. In turns, I was expecting some skittishness . . .nope. The tire just works! For comparison, I've used 705's, Battlewings, and D606 on this and other similar bikes. And while I wasn't unhappy with those tires, I really like the value and all-roundness of the 804/805 combo.

Great tire
Great value tire surprisingly quiet easy to install feels a lot better in the corners - I have both the 804/805 combo on my bike to replace factory dunlops - worth the change in my opinion will update as mileage goes up

For the money, best in class
I have had this tire on for about 2000 miles. It is wearing very well and the performance is comparable to tires twice the price. These were referred to me by an ADV training school in Oklahoma as that’s all they run on their bikes (Shinko 804&805). Happy w them so far!

Great tires except for...
I have about 4000 miles on these, front and rear. They are wearing very well so far. I'm running them on a Triumph Tiger XC 800. They are amazing on road - sticky, quiet - wet or dry. Off road, I love the back tire, plenty of grip on hard gravel, dirt, mud or sand. The front tire, not so much. On gravel it has way to much horizontal drift, so much so it gives you that pucker feeling no rider likes to get. The gnarlier the terrain, the worse the drift. I did the White Rim Trail in Canyonlands (Utah) N.P. In October and again, love the back tire, but the front washed out twice on me at low speeds in mud. I've actually considered changing out the front to maybe a Shinko 700, in hopes of loosing that "swimmy" feeling I get from this one. Overall 4 stars, and if the front was better off road, it'd be 5 stars hands down.

Amazing tires
Had them on for about 1000km on a KLR. I’ve put them on pavement wet and dry, gravel roads, loose dirt, and mud. They haven’t disappointed. Great on the road. And they are a solid off road tire. I’m planning on buying another set soon so I have them when eventually these are done.
