Brooklyn Knife Co. Chef Knife - Japanese Seigaiha Series - Etched High Carbon Steel 8-Inch

I was looking for a Japanese chef knife and I came into Brooklyn Knife. The knife is beautifully crafted, very sharp, it has a nice balance and weight when you hold the knife. The knife also very well packaged in a box, it will make a memorable gift to anyone who you cared. I am very impressed that this quality knife was able to purchased with the price!

I waited awhile to write a review to be sure they held up. First of the box and delivery was amazing! I didn’t even throw away the box the presentation was very professional and would be a great gift for someone. Opening the box the knife was gorgeous. The edge on this has been tested for months citing everything from vegetables to meat and it is keeping its edge. The knife is super sharp out of the box, sharp enough to shave the hair off your arm so be careful with it. The edge is still the same as the day I bought it on both of them. The only thing I wish was that it was a little heavier it is a little lighter than I thought it would be with a full tang but I have gotten use to it now. Over all both knifes are amazing and people compliment them when they come over and I cook for them. Will purchase more of them as I grow my collection.

The chef knife is very sharp and lightweight Very versatile and being on the thin side, very good at butterflying and filleting large and small pieces of meat. Excellent value.

This knife is amazing! It’s beautiful, feels nice to hold, and cuts with smooth precision. I dont usually like to chop vegetables but this makes it so easy. I was also able to trim the fat off my steaks with almost no effort. Great product!

it looks nice and feels even better! visuals may not be that important for kitchenware, but i really enjoy the design. but the way it cuts through vegetables is the best part! i've found myself to be eating more vegetables now that prepping them is much much easier and faster. it makes it quick and easy. i've been able to create newer dishes with smaller cuts of vegetables and meats. great buy!

So I’m not blown away with the knife. It looks a little cheap, the colored rings have some mixed colors in them. The blade was not that sharp but it did take a better edge after a few time across my steel. The pattern on the blade look a little cheesy to me. Overall the knife is very light weight and just doesn’t have the heaft that I’m used to with other good quality knives.

Excellent quality with a RAZOR sharp blade. As will all knives you need handle it carefully. Smoked pork ribs for the family and this knife was amazing for cutting. Just the right balance and weight to cut through like butter. It is also beautifully crafted and of amazing quality. Buy it, you won't regret it.
