Helped a very picky turtle transition to pellets
I work as a rehabber for both captive bred, and wild turtles. I rotate through 10 or so types of pellets to try and keep the diet varied in addition to offering fresh foods. Some wild turtles struggle to accept pellets and this particular pellet has been really helpful to get them eating. Even when I offer several types of pellets in a serving these will be the first ones to be eaten. They are small in size which is great for young turtles and older turtles will have no trouble with them. I haven't noticed them making a huge mess in the water, but I feed in a separate tub to take the load off my filters anyway. I like that they have several whole food powders listed in the ingredients, and fish oil for the omega fats missing from some other commercial diets. I feel like it helps offset the lack of fresh veg for some of my pickier residents.Variety is definitely one of the best things we can offer turtles, so I can't recommend this being the only pellet you feed; but I'm very happy to have it as part of my rotation! The only thing I'm not in love with is soy being high on the ingredient list; more studies need to be done on the safety of soy and corn as the bulk of any pellet, but most commercial foods use them so it's hard to avoid.

Bigger size, new formula?
I have been ordering these from Amazon (same seller) for a few years, since they are the only food my RES will eat and the local stores don't carry it anymore. That said, in this most recent container that was delivered yesterday, the "bites" are like 4 times larger than before. In theory, they shouldn't be TOO big for my turtle, but even if I smash them up a bit, he will not eat them. Not sure if the formula changed along with the size, but now I have to try to find something new for him to eat. I'm bummed.

Pellets too big
It is the only pellet I have fed my 15 year old RES turtle for years. It had been great until recently, the company made some changes...Pros - There is no other turtle food with ingredients like this, it has a ton of veggies and fruits in it.Cons - They have increased the size of the pellet, to the point my turtle cannot eat them. He tries, but they are so large that when he bites them they turn into dust, therefore giving him no nutrition but making a huge mess of his tank. They never mentioned a change in the pellet. Some quick tests would have told them the pellets were too big.The price has also increased quite a bit.And not relating to food but more to the company, I have emailed them four times on different matters and they won't answer. I'm really disappointed right now, this is not the experience I have had in the past.

Issues with expiration dates
It would be ideal if I could have an expiration date on the pellets. They used to have a sticker on the bottom. Especially since before I've been sent these pellets beyond the expirationd ate.

This has the fruits & veggies needed
This is the only food that I could find for my red slider that has the fruits & veggies that he needs. He is not interested in eating any fresh fruit or veggie that I try to give him so this is the only way his diet is complete.

Quality Product
My large red-eared slider loves these little bites. It's a great way to get fruits and veggies into their diet. I mix 8 of these with 8 of a different larger food.

Great turtle food
My Red Ear Slider can’t get enough of these food pellets. I know there was some earlier concern regarding pellet size, but my last order received was fulfilled with the original smaller sized pellet. Very happy as is he😎
