Great for no salt diet

We have to keep sodium intake very, very low, and discovered this product a couple of years ago. We use it almost weekly to season fried rice, since we can't use soy sauce. Although it's billed as a marinade, it's pretty thick, so when we use it for that purpose, we add a little balsamic vinegar or apple juice. Flavor is complex with a hint of sweetness; guests never guess it's salt-free!

I am on a reduced salt diet. When I wanted to make meatballs for a potluck, this was really tasty.

Not found at most stores. Personally I prefer the spicy teriyaki also from Mrs. Dash, but the rest of the family prefers this variety. If you have never used one of the many Mrs Dash varieties, I highly recommend them. You can turn out a dinner very quickly- cut up some chicken and vegetables, stir fry them with the marinade, cook some rice, and you've got a tasty dinner in about 15 minutes with almost no sodium. While I prefer to make a full dinner from scratch, finding the time to do so can be difficult some days. If you're trying to reduce your sodium intake for medical or general heath reasons, quick and easy meals can be very difficult- I always keep a few varieties of Mrs Dash marinades around for this very reason. If you're new to a low-salt diet, food may taste a bit band at first- keep with it and in no time you will not only not miss the salt, you're quickly reach a point where over salted food is no longer appealing. This type of product helps because the flavor is quite good even without the high dose of salt.

I like this because it's thick. I don't like the fact that it's loaded with sugar and killer sweet. It has a decent flavor. I find it to be somewhat expensive, but hubby likes it, so it's a buy again item for me.

Teriyaki chicken turned out great with this marinade!
