The Eden Myth

You've got to be kidding!!!! I read a couple of reviews on this movie on IMDB.com which said that it was strange but worthwhile. Well, maybe strange..... My guess is that these reviewers had copies to sell and gave it a high rating so some jerk like me would come along and buy their copy from them. They got me! But, I bought a used copy and I am not going to insult anyone by trying to get someone to buy it from me -- it is in the trash. I don't mind the $5.00 or so I wasted, but I regret the time I spent watching it. I could have been scrubbing the toilet or something else useful instead.

I don't know why this film isn't better known. It has yet to be released on DVD. I sill have my old VHS copy and watched it again recently. Believe me, this is one story you *haven't* seen before. In some ways the plot might have come out of a brilliantly demented collaboration between Edgar Allan Poe and Tennessee Williams. One family's decadent secrets come slowly to the light...deliciously perverted and suspenseful. Eerie, titillating, repugnant...and great fun. If you can find an old copy of this---grab it! You won't be sorry.
