PRODUCE Bagged Yellow Onions, 32 OZ

Yellow onions were always the poor relations to the sweet white onions I adored. However after having pre-diabetes I had to cut out sweet onions. Yellow Onions had a certain tartness I was not a fan of. I almost gave up on onions but I tried yellow onions again. The Whole Foods Yellow onions have a milder taste. Yes yellow onions are still tart but the intensity seems more subdued.Now I love a tart yellow onion on an all beef hot dog with all the trimmings. However I love these yellow onions in a soup or stew. These onions have flavor with some staying power. In any dish these onions will be heard and tasted. The thing that makes these onions good is that they are strong with the flavors they have but restrained in the more unpleasant yellow onion flavors. I love these onions for old world soups.

I have been having my groceries whenever possible delivered even before the landing of the WCV (Corona Novel) to the USA. I have purchased these "storage" onions now several times and they have always been well priced compared to other stores local to me and the onions are generally equal in size and show no signs of rough handling or improper storage which I cannot say is true for other bag onions. Additionally I like that they come in a two pound bag which is the perfect size for my "onion drawer"

I bought 2 bags of these because of the price. 9 out of 10 of the onions were good, but one was so rotten one side was caved in so badly it looked like someone punched it. each bag comes with 5 onions better buying the 3-pound bags of onions I have never gotten a rotten one in those.

The whole bag was rotten and unusable

Got a bag of these and failed to notice the splotch of mold and cuts all over the onions.The ones without mold, cut easily, smelled fine.

Had to throw them out .. some were “dry” in the middle.

What can you say about onions? They are usually what you expect. Good

Not much you can say about onions, but these are good, little or nothing to throw out.
